Hi! Currently looking into getting a new set of tires and wheels. My original tires are 245/75-16 on a 2008 tacoma. If I look at tire rack for new tires based on my vehicle I am given 3 options for size. The one i just listed, 265/70-16, and 265/65-17. Would it be acceptable to switch to either of the other sizes or do I need a lift, special wheels, etc.? Does anything need to happen to go up to 17 other than new wheels as well?

To use your current wheel you have to stay 16"

    265 is fine.

I run a 265/70/17 tire on my stock Sport wheels and a 265/75/16 snow tire on stock steelies on an otherwise stock rig.

Zero issues.....and you'll find your speedometer to be more accurate too, as Toyotas tend to be about 3% under stock.

It sounds like the group has set you on the right path. Is there anything in particular you are looking for in your next set of tires.
