On decel or steep inclines your pcv is sucking oil into the plenum / throttle body

I would be worried . There is no reason for a SUDDEN burst of smoke . Anyone please explain why it could happen . Unless it was a slow release of burning off of oil in the exhaust and not a burst , this does not seen normal .

Pcv location on valve cover will ingest pooling oil and suck it into the intake during steep climbs, decent , hard acceleration or decel

Funny I saw this post today, yesterday I was pulling out of the Toyota dealer to pick up some parts and stuff. There was a guy in front of me test driving a new taco, he floored it and it blew out a bunch of grey/white smoke.

Hasn't blown smoke today... Your right doesn't seem normal to me. I happen to know the salesman who sold me the truck and he is running it by a mechanic to see if this is common???

I wouldn’t worry, I see cars all the time blow out a lil smoke on hard acceleration.

My truck did this during the test drive. It had 2 miles on the odometer.

It smoked for a few miles pretty good till it stopped. It was definitely coming from "under" the truck and not from the tail pipe itself. Pretty sure it was the brand new exhaust.

Engines need to run in like any other complicated piece of equipment. Parts kind of move around until they find there spot.

On hard accel ? I have never had this happen and if I saw it on any vehicle I would assume an issue. How does oil get sucked up ?
A PCV valve just prevents backfire into the crankcase.
Looking for a diagram to understand.

A pcv is just a metered vacuum leak so any oil puddling near the PCV will be sucked into the intake which then is sucked into the cylinders which then creates oil smoke

There are vids on YouTube showing this on 3rd gen tacomas such as this one

I can see this on steep incline but on accel ? It's not like we're pulling 3G's.
Most pcv intakes sit high on the valve cover.
Some engines do not even use a pcv valve in their systems.
I need to look at a diagram.

9.9/10 it's just the oil coating they put on the exhaust pipes from the factory. It burns off in the first few miles. No big deal. SEND IT!

I put a brand new header, up pipe and turbo back exhaust on my STi years ago. Thing smoked like crazy on the first WOT pull during the tune. Then never again for the last 50k miles.
