Despite the name, those don’t like high speed. It’s a pain in the ass when you round off one of the smaller steps and the rest of them are no longer useful because you can’t drill past the dull one. I have maybe a dozen of those and the smaller unibits with the 1/4” chuck in my tool box. Look at their clearance table when you go. Some knuckleheads steal one bit out of the three pack and they sometimes sell the remaining opened package for $.99.

 

There is a new harbor freight opening up quite literally 1000' from my front door tomorrow.

So excited.

 

Clearance section is my first stop. I see alot of stuff that some one used 1x and returned it like drill press, miter saw

 

I'm sorry. I like having to at least drive across town.

@TacomaMike37 - After much extended use, between having been dropped many times and other abuse my Sofirn flashlight has taken, I'm really happy with it. It's always my go to flashlight when I have a choice, having so many choices of light intensity in different situations is great. It's well worth the extra money and know it will last a long time and be one of the tools you look back on as being one of the best decisions you have made.

 

Any thoughts on the Predator Chipper: It's $430, but has been $399. The Youtube reviews seem decent. Hard to find any chippers used, and "nice" ones are expensive for light homeowner use. Thanks!

 

I've been carrying around a harbor freight tire repair kit for years now. Probably 8.
Never needed it, but I just picked up a nail.
It's just where the tread meets the sidewall, so I know the tire store would say "Oh, we can't repair that, it's in the sidewall. You'll have to buy at least 8 new tires for safety sake"

Screw you tire store! Did it myself.
I'll report back as to wether it holds or not.

 

Yeah, we aren't gonna hear from you until you get new tires and the tech reminds you that it was unsafe to put a plug that close to the sidewall. I'm guessing 3 years.

 

I’d consider that in the sidewall.

 

Meh, I've tossed in plugs much closer to the wheel than that.itsa Tacoma. It's not seeing 85mph that often.

If it was a Porsche, I might worry.

 

I don’t think it’ll be catastrophic there but not sure I’d call it a tread puncture, haha. On the underside of a sidewall lug.

I have it, I bought it in 2017 or 2018 and used the $399 coupon, buying a used chipper wasnt an option since I didnt have a truck at the time, I broke it down in the parking lot and brought it home on the back of my WRX hatchback. I probably have 80+ hours on it and would buy it again, it still looks new, the red powdercoat holds up well, I didnt buy the warranty. I never use the bag that came with it, it seems to tear too easy The mulch that comes out of it isnt good enough for gardening beds in my opinion since some of pieces are larger (this may be partially due to me chipping fresh branches and they tear when chipping). The value I have it in is when I take down a tree or branches, it breaks down the debris to 1/10th the size which I edge my woods with, I would have made so many dump trips with branches if I didnt have it. It does have a learning curve, basically trying to force too large of a branch or a branch with a sharp bend, it can jam, you will spend alot more time disassembling it to remove the jam, its easier to just cut the piece up smaller or just dont try to chip it. It doesnt do well with leaves in my opinion, the leaf intake in the top is too small and if there small branches attached to the leaves, pushing them through will be time consuming, it would probably do OK if 100% leaves. I always wear hearing protection, eye protection and gloves since when feeding it, it can send some sharp vibrations back through the branch that can sting a little.

 

Are HF torque wrenches halfway decent? Want to make sure they're accurate so I don't waste my money. Cheers
