I didn't know that AJT made a fob that lets you keep the key. I always liked the cool space saving fobs but hated the idea of giving up the key. This one is actually slightly bigger than stock, but totally worth it IMO. Im debating whether I should have gotten the green though.

Also, this weekend felt like a good time to escape the city. I can't recommend hipcamp.com enough. For 20 bucks we have the entire back half of someone's property to ourselves. What a great way to unwind.

I have Meso FOB with my standard key.. Smaller than Factory FOB. Yes, I have a gold MESO decal.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
That's interesting, at 6'3", my first "encounter" with the 3rd Gen Taco during hood strut prototyping was nailing my temple against the open the hood, enough to see stars :). Maybe your extra height is an advantage in this case. The 3rd Gen Taco hood height is about 6" lower than the previous gens for some odd reason.[/QUOTE]

My forehead is valedictorian of the school of hard knocks. The forehead is still in the danger zone with the Taco hood, I've just learned to look first and think before I move. I had a Focus before this, and part of my bald spot is from that car.

    Minor stuff.
Got a lot of things done today. Got my son a kayak and used the bed for the first time. Installed the interior LEDs. Went with red in the map lights, cool white for the dome and cool white for the mirrors. I got my PIAA 10” ions installed with a switch. Just donMt have the time to do it myself. Put the child sticker (it’s not baby Yoda. Yoda has been dead for 5 years when the child appears). Installed my bed lighting kit and put my NY Rangers trailer hitch cover on. Also put my MESO customs ignition switch in. All while being up for 30 straight hours.

Thanks. Actual location of panel and distribution block was relatively easy. Cleaning up previous wiring and dealing with the birds nest under the hood was the true bear. Panel location made sense since others have noted that the typical location of these panels in the OEM cubby left of the steering wheel is a little difficult to see clearly.

Well the OEM battery terminal cover wouldn’t fit over the new block so right now no. I’m not aware of any other options as of yet.

What did I do to my Tacoma today? Washed the crap out of it. Literally! In two trips, I hauled a load of sod and 25 bags of Black Cow manure for my father in law. It’s a dirty job but someone had to do it. It’s shining like a diamond in a goat’s ass now. Maguire’s is the greatest. Yahoo!

Got in over my head. At least that’s what it felt like at the beginning. At the end it wasn’t that bad. Took off the icon coilovers to get serviced and swap the springs to the 700lb springs

So I did my first ever Taco oil change myself today. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be considering everything I have read. Installed the aluminum housing as well. Only injury I sustained was when the housing broke free from the 1000 lbs of torque the dealer put on it and my arm hit something under the truck. :D
