Hello and Thanks....wiring question.

I have a 2017 SR5 V6. I use it to carry my Truck Camper. Air bags, tie downs, etc. I want to mount a camera to my camper and plug into the existing 4 wire plug after I remove the tail gate. I wish I knew the four wire address. White, blue, red and black. Thanks.

 

I'm pretty sure @caribe makaira would know. Seems to be very knowledgeable about these wiring systems.

OP, you could get a OEM camera harness that goes inside the tailgate. I don't know if it would long enough for your mod.

So, I purchased a Toyota harness with plug and attached the wires per the diagram I got. The camera works well when going into reverse. The small LED lights around the installed camera do not light (neither in reverse or when the lights are on). I got to wondering, how would it get power? The four original wires do not go to a light. I tested the black and red wire with a 12v source and it illuminated. Should I run it differently? The light would be helpful backing up in a camping spot. Thanks again.
The yellow connector is for camera and black is for light.

 

Tie in to the power to the camera. On connector T22_6

 

@caribe makaira. Again, thanks, but I am lost on your comment. I am not using T22 and not power #6. Black wire (CB Power) is connected to Pwr to light.

 

BN1_4 is same. Power to cam

 

No, add it to same power source...

 

P.S. test that it goes off after getting out of reverse. I can't recall if juice to the cam is ON after IGN.
