Being it looks like a new Jersey road map I doubt it will come off in one big pull.
    More like 20 little pulls.

That's what I did, one side came off super easy the other side left a lot of residue. Guess what side the sun was on lol. It really doesn't have to be super hot, it was about a an 75 degree day. Though my stickers where on a new truck. things might change if that sticker has been on for years... maybe?

Wait for a hot day, park in in the sun for a couple of hours and just peal by hand. Go slow and steady. Clean up the reside with any adhesive remover - WD40 works good for the most part but I like the Turtle Wax Label and Sticker Remover in the can for the final pass to remove the WD40.

Yes I agree thats the stuff I have, the Label remover in the green and white can. It might be like a strip tease though, Taking a little off at a time.

If you use heat be very careful, if you are patient and with a soft touch they will come off almost in one piece with just your hands. I would sincerely recommend this 3m product...https://www.pepboys.com/3m-adhesive-remover/product/76801

3M makes two versions of this the one in the white can is crap...

When you use it get a clean towel and spray on the towel only, then use a fresh area of towel often, once your towel gets filled with the glue you need to use a new area and more spray.

This is from many years of removing decals and stickers as a detailer. Be gentle to the paint! no rub, just spray your towel again and use a fresh spot of towel.

HA! Yeah. I'm used to failure. Doesn't tear my ego up at 39 like it did at 19. I've gotten used to it. Or old. Or both. But thanks for the kind words. Hopefully I can stop admitting embarrassing mistakes one of these days. Although my money is still on the mistakes.

I think what happened is that the sticker had been on there so long, baking in the sun over summers and what not that when I tried to pressure wash it off, something about the pressure of the water and the adhesion on the sticker ripped the clear coat up. Got a 5 estimates today and luckily the highest rated/reviewed auto body shop was also the cheapest. Said drop it off on a Monday, pick it up Wednesday afternoon for $675. I then asked him how much it would really be and the guy laughed and said, $675. It's an expensive fuck up, but that's pretty standard with me it seems. Live and learn.

You could sell the pressure washer to get your repair cost back ? Less chances you'll reach for that power wand again too. :annoyed:

Goo-Gone and Goof-Off are a little to toxic for me.
WD-40 works really well for removing sticker residue without the toxicity.
