Ya I want to do an area where I can have smoker, flat top grill, sink area and bar. We also want a built in fireplace with a pizza oven up top. Whole area will be covered.

She also wants to do a fire pit (granite fire pit like I built at our last house) surrounded by 4 swings. Something like this.

Still in AZ? I'd do one there. You might have a few months that are a little too hot.

Anything north of the Mason Dixon line is nice. But wouldn't be worth it with our current income stream and really isn't near the top of the list. You get to use it for a few months of the year. Cool but not worth it in my opinion. Anywhere south though it would be higher on my priorities list.

I might try two loins for pulled next week. I've done them before once they came out all right. Would fit and be easier than the shoulder annnnd wouldn't have to be up for the ass crack of dawn.

I find 2 smaller loins cook a lot better than 1 larger one, hard to regulate the temp on my electric smoker with 1 large piece

If you cover it then you can use it pretty much all year long. With the fireplace in there or those porch heaters from propane you can warm it up.

Ever watch those building a deck shows on like HGTV? A LOT of them are in very cold places. :)

If and when we move to Texas/down south I'd totally build a combo smoker pizza oven. Don't think it would be too difficult.

I'll give that a whirl this week then actually. It came out good when I made it I just like to do the whole butt for show with people :D I'll do that though I can start it around 7 or 8 and be fine by a reasonable early dinner.

Which I never understood. Like I grew up here. I'm happy outside basically Easter thru Columbus day and at that, there's a lot of times I wouldn't be happy. Let alone Michigan and further north of RI. There's actually a real different climate in RI than NH the rain snow line is a good example of that.

Not worth it in my opinion. If rather spend my moneys to move south.

I have no clue what I'm doing with my $25 Craigslist smoker but hot damn it smells good.

Yeah I'm debating one of those too.

Currently using my charcoal grill as an actual grill instead of as a smoker. Weird seeing the temp so high and thinking it's a good thing :D

We shall see how you feel after 3-4 years of heat all the time.

All places have pluses and minuses. The snow gets old but so did the constant heat and humidity in FL. When it’s silly humid and 40 out you still sweat from that humidity.

In a perfect world I would have a place with a good smoker in 2-3 states. :)
