Yes. Those do work but you’ll have to remove the coil over. Well, you might be able to wedge it in there buts it’s way easier off the truck.

At the bottom of the shock body, where the shaft goes into the body there should be a stamped part number on there. But it will be a slightly different P/N than what you will find online. Post that P/N and I can tell you what they are.

Alright guys the the time has come to choose the coil color, need your help. Black on black on black, or keep the silver and clean them up? These are 2.5 IBP’s

If you go with black, blackout the hose fittings as well.

I think I'm going to stick with the silver. Painting the fittings would have me be a little concerned if I needed to change anything out in the future if I decide to keep these guys. Plus the silver with the black background looks killer I think.

I would stick with silver but wouldn't paint, powder coat it.

I'm going to use Steel-It, since using I've found out the corrosion resistance is just on par with powder coat but the nice thing is touch up is so much easier.

Hoping somebody can help me out with making a decision... I've got about $1,500 to spend on a suspension. I drive a 2017 TRD OR w/ an RCI bed rack and Tepui tent that I keep on the back most of the time. Throw in another 100-200lbs of gear when I go camp ( I want a slight rake ). Mostly FSRs when I go with some light off roading so I'm not looking to lift over 2" but want to soak up the rough FSRs pretty well.

With that said I was looking at the Fox Level 1 kit from Headstrong for $1,200 with their AAL in the rear. Then I found a kit from ShockSurplus for the same price but with what appears to me a much better rear shock option ( it's rebuildable corrrect? ). Wouldn't it be a better option with an AAL that'll add 2" in the rear? Or, if there's a better option for my price range let me know!

I was looking for something similar and contacted Marie at headstrong. The level 1 from fox rears are not recommended with an add a leaf. I went with the 2.0 up front and 2.0 rears with resi along with the deaver add a leaf. I’m only looking for 1” of lift all around and a slight rake. I have an ARE topper on the back and maybe 100lbs of gear in the back. You could do the same for around $1425

im currently about to do the same thing.

looking at cerakote. I called fox and they suggested against powder coating and recommended cerakote because the powder coat does not dissipate heat well. looking into the elite series, i have this on a pistol and the carbon just wipes off, it also has the best chemical resistance of all the cerakoting.

    https://www.cerakote.com/project-gallery/35048/cerakoted-e-160-concrete

    with a black coil.

    https://www.cerakote.com/shop/cerakote-coating/E-100/blackout

although the metallic look is bad ass, but they dont have that option in the E-series. got some swatches coming. i noticed your wheels were bronze, i think the body in bronze, and blacked out coil would look mean.

GOT a question, the coil that comes on the FOX extended travel DSC coilovers is 13" 600?

A quick search and you’ll find Toyota dealers who sell OEM suspension parts if you want to go that route.

probably just gonna buy a new set for the front, maybe some kings that are adjustable... probably not long before the other side breaks from rust, like the left side did. lost about 4 inches from the bottom of the spring, rusted and split long ways in half,
