Probably depends on the state. I see them on Mustangs and Jeeps all the time around here in all sorts of colors

 

I think red and blue is illegal in most states. Don't know how strongly it's enforced though. Here another pic just because haha

 

It's legal as long as it's not flashing. Flashing is illegal.

You can't use red or blue for flashing on the public roads. Unless you use it in the car shows.

Check with the laws in your state before you get it done.

I have non-flashing blue leds in mine.

Why do your hood lines look misaligned a bit?

 

I installed the energy bushings for the front core support and it tweaked things a bit. The hood made a vibrating / rattling noise in the latch, so I had to back the Bumpers up a bit to keep tension on it.

Also, part of me thinks this truck was in a minor wreck in the dealer parking lot before they sold it to me. Idk.

 

Mine doesn't line up perfectly either.

Granted I swapped hoods .....

I see. Here is a random picture of my hood lines, looks pretty even. I have seen misaligned hood lines on brand new tacos that were on the show room floor, strange.

 

Interesting. Yeah idk what the deal is.

 

When I test drove SR5 on the road, the hood in middle vibrated. I got Sport instead. That was back in 2017. I am sure they have fixed hood vibration by now.

 

Yea, saw a lot of guys on the forum complaining about non scooped hood vibration. Didnt see it for a while now, it was the glue coming off or something.

 

Or factory forgot to glue it together... who knows.

I think you will get a bunch of different answers here. My opinion go with what ever you think is best. Black goes well with almost every color so i don't think you can go wrong with which ever color you choose.
