Good thoughts, not sure I'd do it but I know the hardcore guys think of it as some kind of faux paus. I think it would be kind of weird to throw a TRD sport or OR badge on a bone stock SR, but if I were to throw some of the other items on there that come with those higher trims (scooped hood, fender flares) and go TRD crazy that seems like fair game to me!

Agreed. Mod however you want, (scooped hood is cool ) but putting the stickers is bad form. I don't like the stickers anyway, and for sure wouldn't want to pose them.

do as you please, nothing wrong with some oem upgrades. i've got TRDOR wheels and tires on my SR.

i just don't understand the appeal of sticking silly logos everywhere for the "brand" cred though. "trd" is plainly marketing bullshit... it has as much to do with "racing development" as your mom's rav4 "limited" is actually... limited. i suppose SR/SR-5 once meant 'sport rally 5-speed', but nothing actually means anything anymore because i don't even know.

Whats the story with the black side rails? Is that plasti-dip or vinyl?

Such a minor thing makes a big difference.

The rock panels are vinyl Wrap matte black. So much easier to maintain and a nice subtle difference

Not really looking for brand cred.... just stuck between removing all the badges so it looks as "clean" as possible or finding something to "spice up" the sides. If I want something on the sides, there isn't many options besides the TRD badges....

Well, the worst thing for your truck is UV, so you want to wax it at least twice a year. Those stupid logos just get in the way when you are trying to take care of the paint. Some un-waxed dental floss is excellent for removing un-necessary logos and badges.

They'll look better stuck to your tool box anyway.

plasti dip emblems, TRD off road wheels, pro clips cell phone mount. 20 percent tint.
Added those black tacoma emblems on the side, kinda put them a little high vs stock but it still looks good Will be adding decals on the back soon.

I took these FJ wheels off my T4R before I sold it, 2 tone plastic dipped, copper & black, wrapped in General AT2 265/70/17. Love how my SR looks now, I just gonna figure out what to do with those chrome steps.
    253AD899-1635-47D2-9E6B-5B359E5883DE.jpg

A day after installing the wheels, my fogs light cracked, after 4 months of having them on -_- so now I’m debating if I should just get the housing replaced or just upgrade to better lighting

Anyone have a trick to removing the oil filter on a 2.7 without spilling out simultaneously down your arm and the side of the engine?

I do a similar thing to @FlightMedic178 — I slip a gallon sized Ziploc bag over the filter. Still, a little oil gets around onto places. I figure it just helps prevents rust.
