So i sprayed dry lube at the top towards where the top part bolts to the truck. Like right where the coil over assemble connects to the top mount. I was told there is a spherical up there.

Under normal spirited use, the rears would fail first due to pitting on the rods and failed shaft seals. Usually caused by throwing rocks from the front tires off road. I guess the OP could still have an issue with the shocks, but it doesn’t sound like what you’d expect. Especially because they look so good in the pictures. Hardly looks broken in yet. Good luck on finding your issue.

Other end of the shock where the bolt goes through. Although I’m not a huge fan of spraying tons of lube, as it will attract dust and grit causing premature wear. Usually keeping them clean is better than keeping them lubed.

Only thing i'll say to that is this pic was taken at 20K miles. I dont have a 50K mile pic. They still look clean and not beat tho

I hear you on that. Even if its dry Lube? I know exactly where you are talking about that

It’s probably ok, but I’ve had better luck just wiping them clean every once in a while. I will resort to lube if they act up, but that’s usually when I start thinking about ordering replacement bearings.

You don't live coilovers. Keep them dry, keep them clean and you're good to go the MAJORITY of the time.

Good to know. Thank you for that. What i was thinking is get some degreaser or some sort of cleaner and try and spray everything down. If that doesnt do that trick maybe dry lube / replace that spherical if thats the issue

Yeah i didnt lube the coil its self. Just the top spherical where the entire assembly goes into the top hat area that bolts to the truck

The lower is right where the shock mount with the large bolt is at. Spray in there.

If it goes away when you wash the truck it's gotta be the spherical bearings in the lower eyelets. I had to replace mine after about 15k miles. They clunked any time I moved from a stop, could get it to go away for a few days by spraying dry lube on them.

It's an easy job to do, but at 50k you should probably just get the entire coilovers rebuilt anyway

The dry lube works well to quiet them down for a bit but you don't want to let bad bearings go for too long or they'll destroy the bottom of the shock by wallowing out the eyelets or worse. The eyelets are replaceable but it's easier and cheaper to just replace the bearings.
