I've been dealing with a squeak/creak, turns out I didn't tighten the rack-to-roof bolts enough. Oops. No vibration, no wind noise though.

I figured that was probably it. I just want to make sure I didnt screw something up. The high pitch squeal sounds like it around the area between the drivers front and back door. Figured it was the scene pod knock outside that are still in.

Nice!! I’m jealous of the bravo. I really like how simple and clean it is. And the ability to access the rack bars on the outside.

I'm having a significant whistle with my heretic bar installed. Starts right around 45mph. Any thoughts on how to stop this? I know it's from the cutout as I covered it and drove around and otherwise the rack is silent.

I wonder if you need to redo the Silicon as tightening it more than what you originally had may have broken the seal.

It's going to scream like a banshee until you get your lightbar installed. Just tape over the holes until then.

Quick hint, even though you have the remote, you do need to wire in the switches, the remote won't work without that circuit completed. I'm not saying you have to take it through the firewall, or anything fancy, it's just got to be there. You could probably make a completed circuit without switches at all just to complete it, but I just used their switches and hid them behind my kick panel.

Is it possible to get the inner plate as the accent color instead of the outer (Like the way it is in the picture of Meso's truck)? I've seen it this way on a few others but don't see that option on the site.

At checkout put in the notes you would prefer the inner gooveTEK to be colored and we will get it done!

Wondering if it is the angle of the light bar, have you tried adjusting it?

Yeah I've been messing around with it quite a bit. They only thing I've found that stopped it was I put tape over the bottom part of the cutout so its now just a straight line. My best guess is the cutout for the heretic bar is acting like a harmonica or something (only because that's what it sounds like). I'll keep messing around with it because I seriously love the look but any input would be appreciated.

After months of lurking this thread, I finally pulled the trigger last night on an Alpha rack!
Got a 30 inch baja designs light bar, four rock lights & scene pods, wiring harness. (and a free awning mount!)
Also chose the army green outer fairings to color match my 2020. :yay:

In the meantime, I've got a few things to figure out...

Looks like I'll have to drill through the roof and push the wires through with a waterproof grommet, as the thin fin is not compatible with the 2020s. If anyone has done this, could you elaborate on where on the roof you drilled? Pics would be greatly appreciated!

I'm also curious about how to run the wires (from the drilled hole in roof) all the way to a SwitchPro. (I'm considering getting a SwitchPro + mount left of the steering wheel, and above the existing OEM switches.)

    Any insight is much appreciated!

I drilled the hole to pass the wires through on my truck. I’d recommend dropping down the headliner on the inside so you can see where is best to drill. Near the antenna there weren’t any wires so I drilled the hole a few inches to the drivers of it. You can then run the wires above the headliner, on the inside of the airbag and down the a pillar. It will be a tad annoying to pass the harness through the firewall since you already have the switch pros coming back in but that’s probably the cleanest way to go. Adding additional water proofing to the grommet was easy as well.

Not sure what lightbar you have. I have a 40” OnX6 and the volume of wires going through that grommet plug was tight. Gave that opening a serious run for its money.

Man if you have a switchpro, there really is no need to go into the cab at all. I know they recommend it as the cleanest way, but cutting a 2020 just to run wires back outside seems needless. I myself still haven't decided on whether to run down the windshield sides, or down the back...

Meso's switchpro cubby mount is an extremely clean way to mount the switchpro switches. ONLY issue is that it's hard to see and press some of the switches from the drivers position. If I didn't have a moonroof and all the Off Road switches up there, I'd definitely have mounted it overhead.

The other option is to mount the SP switch panel in between the sunroof and the off-road switches like this:

    Damn that is top notch.

Was that tough? Haven’t messed with the headliner yet.
