The part that annoys me right now is this guy.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/13/watch-billionaire-david-tepper-break-down-the-parts-of-the-market-that-may-be-overvalued.html

This prick went on the news and said a bunch of crap that tanked the market and he knew would tank it. Now it’s on a sharp rebound, shockingly, after a sharp dive (up a lot this morning). I can almost guarantee this walking waste of oxygen made out like gangbusters (and maybe some of his close friends too) by going into the news and saying what he said so the market would crash for a few days.

everyone’s all up in arms about a senator who sold their stock when China’s supply chain was crippling, anyone with half a brain should have known to bail out then. But this guy gets a free pass?

    sorry rant over.

GOOD DAY. yard work all day replacing my mulch beds with stone and a pebble section in the back yard getting taken up and just going grass back there. Lots of yard work this week, I have the week off so Geronimo. Going to need a beer at the end of all this.

tires or wheels too?? Could be convinced in the 4Runner pro wheels maybe.

Got the dock rearranged yesterday; 3 hours in the water digging out the pipe bases, moving the frames, and reconnecting & leveling everything. Could not feel my feet when I got it all finished. The old owners had some sort of plywood platform/gangplank monstrosity going out to the dock and it was in pretty sorry shape. So this spring I tore it all out and rebuilt the deck at the water's edge. Then yesterday I brought in the section of dock they had behind the shed (no idea why they were using their homebuilt POS instead?) and set that up, and moved the stuff that was further out back in a little closer to shore.

    Before:

During (I only stopped to get one picture of the during; I didn't want to spend any more time than I had to in that water!):

Celebratory beer in the sun, with long pants and wool socks to warm my legs back up

Water temp was 44 degrees; I thought I was going to have to send a search party to find my unmentionables.

Meh. The GF has one of those cheapo Amazon units and it's pretty useless. Besides, this is a permanent docking system, so now that it's in place I'm leaving it there

    Looks good, awesome views!

Mentioned old owners, is this a new spot for you and the lady? Or a family camp?

Either way, envious, even with the cold water!

Funny, I'm at the point where I'm seriously considering buying a Lariat to replace this truck (1.9% and $2250 in manufacturer incentives is probably better than I'll see again--Ford tends to be proud of the upper trim levels) and the dealer closest to me that has the truck I'm most interested in is the least responsive. Others with trucks that I'm less interested in are at the borderline annoying level that I'm accustomed to.

I've never experienced a dealer that doesn't seem interested in actually making a sale before. Right now I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they're still fixing the tiny ding it got in transport and don't care to talk until then.

We bought it last summer. Been doing a lot of work on it since. The previous owners were elderly and had had the camp building itself recently redone so that was in good shape, but everything else needed a lot. All of the outdoor stuff needed a lot of deferred maintenance or outright replacement. The back lot was totally overgrown and had a bunch of massive pines that had to come down due to insect/weather damage. Still quite a few very large pines back there, but at least all that's left are healthy trees now.
