Hi All. I installed a mad hornets pro grille on my 2018 SR5 and it seems a little loose and has some play. Are they all like that? I feel like the gap at the top is also a little bigger than most of the other pro grilles i see around town. I did have some screws left which I believe were only there to hold the old chrome garnish on. Are those screws needed to hold the pro grille in?

Thank you for any replies and help.

    That's how it is
I wouldnt worry too much. Even OEM grills have gaps.
Replace only if the one installed falls off, which it won't.

Taco Garage repro grill didn't have much of a gap. About the same as the 2020 OEM grill. On the screws, you should be able to put some of them in, but you will have a few extras. I wouldn't rely on just the clips to hold it in,

My Mad Hornets fit really well with a consistent gap all the way around.

Is the mad hornets grill supposed to ship with the letters insert? Got mine today and it just has the blank cutout where TOYOTA would go

Mine didn't have the letters insert pre-installed. It was in the same box however, albeit wrapped up in completely different packaging. Did you get the version with the TSS garnish? I believe I've seen some members note that that version shows up in two different deliveries.

Good deal. Guess I just got lucky and got both parts in one box.

Yours does look really good. When you installed it did you need to use screws? I dont see any screw holes in my mad hornets grille.

Thanks. The whole grill just goes in with plastic clips and no screws. The only screws used were to attach the insert that holds the letters onto the grill.
