Oddly enough my name is Eric and am getting rid of my Revolt 2. The brake system can be an issue when trying to mess with fit as it limits stem options. They are nice bikes and if mine fit better id still have it. There is something to be said for a no gimmicks bike - Salsas are good for this.

Interesting - I thought all newer Fathoms had dropper posts? Mine does and it works great

I’ll say I love my fathom so far but I’ve heard great stuff about the Roscoe as well

I would probably go with a damper service if you have been ok with the fork for 2k+ miles. Many people would be hard pressed to complain about either damper properly tuned for their riding.

The GRIP2 takes more time to setup perfectly, but both have more than enough adjustment. I am not a pro and don’t even race anymore, and I actually have a preference for the GRIP that comes in many OE forks over the GRIP2/FIT that is in the Performance/Factory level forks for its great feel and super easy setup. I prefer a set it and forget it approach, so no analysis paralysis makes for a more enjoyable ride for me.

I have a new 34 on order with Fit4. The Grip2 damper is tempting but im a set it and forget it kind of guy.

Send it off to Push Industries and let them rebuild it and custom tune it for your specific weight plus gear. I had them do my fork with all their upgrades and sent them a brand new rr shock to do the same with and it made world of difference. Very much worth the wait sending stuff back and forth and fighting the anticipation.

Just made this bed fork mount because I hate climbing on top of my roof. I really was hoping to be able to fit two bikes in my truck bed and camper but it looks like a no go.

I’ve wondered about those hydraulic hybrid brakes. Seems like an interesting idea but I’ve never ridden them. My warbird has mechanical brakes and i haven’t felt the need for more yet. Although it’s only been 2 rides haha

This guy lives just up the road from me and told me he'd take $1800 for it. It's all XTR/XX1, industry 9 wheelset, weighs next to nothing.

I've been considering a short travel 29er for a while now, so this is very tempting.

Anyone have any direct experience with this bike?

Haha thats funny! Did you sell yet? or working with someone already to sell to? I'm quickly realizing my options are pretty limited with the whole world buying bikes at this time haha. But that was one of my questions, as it seems like the braking mechanism that transfers the energy is attached to the stem and may not be interchangeable. They just seem like a really solid budget option and already coming tubeless is a plus. I might have to go with the Salsa from REI if i cant find any, just wish i could get that green on the Salsa instead of white/gray

Hasnt sold yet. Its a medium. Yeah the hydraulic reservoir is built into the stem plate. Can be tricky to mount computers as well because of the real estate it takes up - had to do a K-Edge on the top cap. The bike rides great and the tubeless is nice, as is the D-Fuse stuff it comes with.

Could look at Warroads and Warbirds as well for similar bikes.

Ive watched a few reviews of the bike and people have said they are definitely better than full mechanicals. It definitely is an interesting system though.

It was a Fathom 2 29er. For some reason they don't have the dropper. They didn't have a Fathom 1 for me to test out. It was definitely a nice bike. I'm wondering if I shouldn't try to get around there to try out the Roscoe, if they have one in stock.

I wouldnt hesitate to get the Diverge Elite E5 without the future shock. Comes with full hydraulic brakes and is a no-nonsense bike with decent sized tires that take the edge off.

I've heard that. If at the end of the day, its just more adjustment but is going to feel 99% the same, I may just stick with the FIT4

That definitely makes sense, thanks! I dont know if youd be interested in possibly shipping, but i'm looking for a medium.

Im really trying to stay at or below the 1K price range for this type of bike so im pretty much narrowed down to the Journeyman, Revolt2, or Kona Rove (Which i cant find anywhere).

I had one for about 1.5 years. Went OTB a lot.

You should think about the coil upgrade from Push Industries if you want a different feel. The you can tell me if the investment was worth it! lol

Interesting. I’ve got the Fathom 2 but 27.5. Wonder if they removed the dropper post on the 29ers
