It's been a minute since I've been involved in the AZ group here.

I have All Pro Expo packs with bilstein 5125s along with ubolt flip kit and new bumps going on within the next couple of weeks.

I also have OME 887 coils to throw on my 5100s and some upper control arms to put on. Would anybody be able to help a brother out? I don't know that I have the proper equipment for this. I would be willing to supply beer and pizza to your heart's desire..... and my undying gratitude.

Alan, I saw you had that same fuel tank strap contact I had. What did you do to address it?

Inb4 dollars per lumen shit flinging and dick beating, and general all-caps meltdown mode.

I'm most familiar with Baja Design's light patterns, you'd be best served by either "driving combo" or "wide cornering" . IMO they are my one and only go-to just for their customer service, warranty, serviceability, and general construction. Yes they can get painfully expensive but the "sport" models are a decent buy vs the "pro" version. You get all the benefits & construction with a slightly less powerful LED driver. All my rack of lights is sport models, and while I have entertained the idea of upgrading to pro I don't use it often enough and/or feel much shortcoming with the "entry level" option to upgrade to pro. I'm already at "stupid overkill even compared to some legit baja racer dudes" kind of level with my lights.

Anyways, Driving combo is more if you want to run them forwards facing and kill 2 birds supplementing your forward light, and get some decent "spill" on the sides, Wide cornering you point outwards at an angle (I used the edge of my headlight beam up against a garage wall as an aiming guide) and you will have ALL your peripheral vision lit up, just not crazy far out there. This is the rough angle I have my wide cornering S2's at:
    IMG_1378.jpg

Honestly I think side shooters are a gimmick, a bare LED with no optics to guide it is pretty much shit. Remember, optics>>>>>>>raw lumen output any day.

And finally if you're only gonna run one pair of lights, probably amber. Powerful white LEDs plus dust will lead to a lot of eye strain (at least for me) but amber is way easier to deal with- albeit not as good at getting distance- and you were more concerned about "wider" light anyways.

I only ever run the white spots and wide cornering when I'm not in dusty conditions. I use both to attract all the dude-bros on Instagram though.

So TL;DR if you want ONE and only one pair of lights I would say Squadron Sports in Amber with a Driving combo beam, mount them up on the A-Pillar and use them to supplement both your forwards and sideways throw. :)

Has anyone installed super bumps? I can’t figure out if I’m missing hardware or just slow. I can’t figure out how to mount the bump. There’s nothing threaded for the black Allen head bolt to thread into. And that washer is too big to fit inside the bump from the top. What am I missing?

I think I’m gonna keep the tent mounted “backwards” like this. I really think it looks better this directions. But maybe it’s just me.

seeing as you are a hose jockey, everyone expects you to do things backwards.

that said, I think it looks good. I also would prefer the driver side access.
I know they try for aerodynamics with the lid, but I doubt there will be any less or more mpgs either way. Maybe a few more bugs killed, but that’s just a public service.

    Haha very true

And I’m coming from a Four Wheel camper so aerodynamics and mpg are already a huge improvement!

The bump mount to the plate with the allen head through the top and a lock nut on bottom. I have standard one so not sure how they mount axle plate with that setup. Flip kit I'm guessing.

Yeah I think I have it figured out now. I was mentally exhausted by the time I got to them and just wanted to get to bed. The airbags I had to remove where a huge pain in the ass

For now, I cut the exposed threads from the bolt, but may need new bumpstops.

I'll be in Utah for a week long trip soon, so I'll keep an eye on it and course correct as needed...

I had the BD S2 Sports with a wide cornering pattern, and swapped the lenses for a combo pattern. While it was better, it still wasn't enough for my needs. Replaced them with Squadron Sports with a combo pattern...much, much better. As you know, I also have amber Squadron fogs. Swapped the S2 lenses with amber and repurposed as chase lights.

I agree, I think it looks better backwards. Although as already mentioned i'm sure aero was taken into consideration when designing, but due to your rack height I bet the difference is negligible.
