Oh I feel more violated, vulnerable and not so happy, as odd as that sound. I was tempted to put a GPS in it despite the other features. I would have loved to have one in there now.

It’s not worth making myself angry over. Thieves are everywhere, in the Army, the streets, etc.

It almost makes me wonder if it’s someone I know.

Or someone that saw me and followed me and came back later.

Like they say, "there's only one thief in the Army, everybody else is just trying to get their shit back."

Sh!t dude that really sucks, I'm sorry to hear about that, RTT's are not the cheapest thing around. Have you looked at what your auto insurance will do? Or you could look at renters/homeowners insurance. My truck was broken into at work two years ago and they stole a bunch of stuff, I was able to claim it on my renters insurance as your automobile is an extension of your home (in the state of Utah, not sure about other states). It didn't replace everything but it sure was better than a kick to the balls. Hope that helps man, also are there any unique features to the RTT that we could look out for? I live near the U and I can keep an eye out for it.

Took a solo trip to the Swell this weekend. Never done anything like this before.

I took several side roads. You know, driving down a road and seeing a trail and saying, I wonder where that goes? It was sheer bliss.

Saturday morning ended driving through Black Dragon Canyon. Not sure how I got there, but it was a cool drive. Then went over to Goblin Valley, it was to crowded, so drove to Taylor Flats, then down threw Rods Valley and the Head of Sinbad. Ended up driving to Green River to refuel. That was a lot further than I thought.

After refueling I decided to take another one of those “I wonder where that goes” trails. According to the Utah Road and Recreation Atlas, it was Road Hollow. The trail markers I saw said Trail 646. Honestly, for a while there, I thought I was lost. It was an eerie feeling. There are a lot of trails that aren’t marked on a map, so do I go left or right at the fork, was the question. I relied on the compass.

I spent the night thinking I’m not exactly sure where I am. However, saw what looked like reasonably fresh tracks, so figured I was on the right trail and would make it out eventually. I ended up on Cottonwood and felt so relieved.

    not enough.
    Those thieving bastards.

i've heard of quite a string of thefts happening in that area. bikes included. Keep your loved ones close. and your bikes and RTT's even closer I guess. Hopefully you get that resolved man.

Really beautiful and fun area. If you’re ever down for south eastern Utah, let me know. There are some really good areas to get off the grid.

Sorry to hear. I learned the hard way to add "additional coverage" for my tent as well. Karma will get them, as well as you.

I almost went to the swell last weekend. I wanted to do Black Dragon and the race track, as it has been a couple of years since I last did it. I ran into some sxs last time and they couldn't believe that my truck did the trail...

I've been using Redline for diffs, t-case, and transmission. Usually order it from Jeg's, I think.

Edit: I've also gotten it here locally: https://www.rallysportdirect.com/brand/red-line

We did the Race Track I guess it was a couple years ago now. It was epic. Didn't try it this year since I was solo. I would like to do it again sometime soon.

The temperature was perfect. The scenery is always outstanding. There was a lot of green this time of year, and there were a lot of people, but once you got remote, it wasn't too bad. I suspect it will be extra crowded this weekend.

did you by chance do a Gaia track for this trip? I'd be interested in taking a look at it for an up and coming trip down south, its always so nice down there this time of year.

Looks like it has been 4 years! This is from when I last did Black Dragon. Some parts were pretty overgrown, but I squeezed through.
