Well, the article is a joke. GnarCouch is the outdoorsy Onion written by an acquaintence. But Amazon is what you seek.

Also, I too just ordered a pair. Always looking for good clear lens options and Smith is always stocked out of the Wildcat which is what I was really looking for..

Need pics of bike to make that call. I went with the blue just for the black frame.

But in general, I'd say DO IT!

I think this thread alone has resulted in a surge in demand for these sweet specticals.

Well... since Trek sold me the lady version of my bike, I could match it to that. But if I’m being honest, I’m not secure enough in my masculinity to keep the lady bike and will more than likely return it for the men’s version. (Even though the only difference is the seat, bar width, and color).

So really just the color. Got a pic of the bike? I forgot what color it was.

 I tested the Giant Trance Advanced Pro 29 a couple of times last year and got hooked on the idea of a 29er in the 120-130mm range. The 115mm rear travel on the Giant wasn't enough for some of the drops I hit, though, so I'm still hunting other options with slightly more in the rear. (giggity)

Had you not said anything, and even after you did, that looks like a normal Trek color scheme to me. I don't see anything "lady" about it. I'd save the hassle, swap the seat and bar to something you like and ride the piss outta the thing.

I didn't suggest the Smuggler because I didn't think you would want the weight of a 36, but that Izzo as @backcountryj might be your answer if you are ok doing DTC. 130 in back and a Fox 34 up front.

I went with blue just because.

I’ve recently incorporated some retired ski goggles into my yard maintenance PPE. It’s been a revelation Hence the shit eating grin.
