My trick of keeping them attached to the headliner is using small sewing pins. You can't see it and patches will never fall off :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I removed all my patches when I was dating and drove my 1st gen. I was trying to get laid and didn’t want to scare anyone off with fucking thousands of patches in my headliner...and this was like 6 or 7 years ago. These days, you’re better off without. Patches in 2020 have lost their exclusivity. I remember when my patches clearly meant “I’m better than you”

Plus I considered that, I think I read your posts elsewhere about the needles, and then was like fuck that nonsense. You’re off-roading and one of these needles shakes it’s way out and sneaks it’s way into your lap while you’re bouncing around...I can’t even finish illustrating that scenario. That fraction of a second where you realize what has happened. Now I just hide my patches away like secret nerd treasure.

Definitely to each their own. I just put up patches of places I’ve been with the family for memories. Other than that nothing else gets put up.
I’ve wheel a few times already and even went crazy in the dunes at Pismo. Fingers crossed but none have fallen off yet.
But I understand your point of view as well.

I agree with stun gun. Patches when I was in the military were given to you for something you did or you Traded with someone you worked closely with. The idea of buyin patches and displaying them seems odd to me(my opinion). I’ll buy national park patches though (in person after I hike it) since those aren’t moral patches.

Mine stick up there with no needles… you have to rub it the right way (seriously though just twist, press and repeat )

I’m not “all in” to patches but I have a few tacos that best resemble family members (think stick figures on the back of a van) and the Shaka
