I never understood why people have more than one boat. Then people don’t understand why we have 4 tractors, and a boat :anonymous:

    Random fact #357

I mowed today and whilst (<--like that word?) doing so I ran through three piles of horse shit. Now I'm not really a get off my lawn type guy but mowing horse shit without myself being a horse owner is, well...it's horse shit.

    Boat #2 story...
My dad's best friend is Bill, he's known me since I was born. Anyhow, after my dad died me and Bill started fishing together quite a bit. He worked his ass off for many years and has been retired (comfortably) for several years.
One day (a few years after my dad died) he asked me what kind of bows I like. At the time I just figured it was bullshit talk like you do when you are fishing. A week later he dropped off an $800 Hoyt bow that he bought for me just for the hell of it.
About 3 years ago he and his wife moved to a town about 30 miles away to be closer to their daughter (and their doctors). The 'hood he now lives in doesn't allow anything other than a vehicle to be parked in the driveway. With a 2 car garage and his 4Runner and her Avalon (I converted them to Toyotas in the late 80's) taking up both spaces, he signed his boat over to me. He still uses it at times but he's 76 and it's rough on him. I really need to take him fishing soon. This is he.

My boat story, friend had a 14’ jon boat he wanted to sell. I had a .22 magnum I wanted to sell. Called him (20 years ago) and he said how much for the rifle? I said $140, he said I only want $100 for the boat so I guess I’ll give you $40. Done. The last time my wife and I used it she was pregnant with our son, he’s 8 now. As soon as he learns how to swim we will use it again.

I added 3 swivel seats, a trolling motor, and modified and old tobacco trailer so I could move it.

    That's a decent price!!
I use to fish 30 or 40 times a year but now I seem to find excuses not to. And my favorite time to fish has already passed by (March-mid May). But I'm going to go a few times this year! (If they would backoff on the o/t at work)
