What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I've been running it for a few years now and it's worked great for me. You really can feel a big difference in stability with the shocks closer to the tire.

 

What size tire are you running? Any issues with rubbing? And what length shock are you running?

 

My tires are 285/75/r16.

I had rubbing issues with my stock bump stops, but I swapped them out for some wheelers super bumps and they just barely graze the shock at full stuff now. Not enough to worry about, there's just a tiny spot on the shock body that looks polished. Keep in mind you will have to run 1.25'' spacers.

The shocks are 10'' travel, 18.5'' comp, 28.5'' ext.

 

I’m currently running 295/70/17 and have 4.5” bs wheels with 1.25” spacers, my tires are a tad wider than yours. I’m still intrigued lol

 

You'd probably be fine. Just play around with bump stop height until you have zero or a reasonable amount of rub.

I forgot to mention in my previous post that I'm running 2.125'' shock bodies so I'll rub a little easier than with the 2.0'' shock that TC recommends.

 

That photo is of an 8 port. I hope you got a 4 port as your year is a 4 port manifold. Where did you order your setup from?

Maybe replace the knock sensors and wires since u are there,
Wires look tired.

I’ll do the wires. Not the sensors. This engine is to test things. It ran great when I took it out

 

You ever taken the intake manifold off a 5sfe?

I wanna take it off to clean the carbon and crap
