Hey, how do you like your rear Fox shocks? Mine started leaking and I've been looking at replacements with a little extra travel and yours look like what I'm looking for. Also, I clicked on your link for the shocks in your build thread and it says it doesn't fit a 95-04 Tacoma. Did you just get different bushings or were you able to just install them the way that they came in the box?

I replaced to rear leaf springs, the new ones gave me 3 1/2 inches of lift and I installed bump stops 2 1/2 inches taller than factory stops.
The Fox have worked great for me, no issues at all and I offroad pretty hard. After the upgrades I installed them the way that they came in the box?

I have a pretty similar setup too, upgraded leaf springs and wheelers bumpstops with spacers. My question is that when you ordered the shocks from Downsouth motorsports, did you have to custom order them or swap the bushings or did you just order them and they fit?

I guess I should rephrase this. When going to Downsouth Motorsports website, it says that the shocks are not capable with Tacomas. Since they are not made for Tacomas, did you have to order different bushings to get them to attach to the mounting points or did you just order them and they were a direct fit?

The shocks are not custom, they are the ones in the link. I made my bumps stop spaces they are taller than the Wheelers spacers. I added a longer piece of pipe that is in the Wheeler bump stop pedestal.

The reason they say they will not fit is because of the length. They are too long when collapsed to fit a Tacoma that has not been modified.

So just making sure, if I order the shocks in the link, those are the ones that will work
So just making sure, if I order the shocks in the link, those are the ones that you have and they fit? The only reason I ask is that I currently have Fox 2.0 shocks without the reservoirs and when I got them they had the wrong bushings and I had to contact the supplier to get the correct bushings.

The top picture is the Wheeler's pedestal the bottom picture is the one I modified.
If you don't put taller bump stop the shocks will bottom before they hit the bump stops.

Looks like you are having some great trips back there.
Still tinkering away out west here, Say, are these shackles the Daystar greaseable lift shackles? Have a pair and contemplating putting them on next spring along with an Icon progressive 3 leaf AAL. My OME Exp pack/OME AAL are getting a bit of a saggy butt syndrome, budget doesn’t allow any big ticket stuff till next summer...

I’ll have to look into these, my All-Pro leafs are sagging pretty bad with the bumper and the camper shell.

I actually got them because when I have everything loaded it didn't sit level and they have 3 different holes to adjust the height it keeps the truck level, loaded or unloaded.

Not sure if they still sell them or not, looks like they went to two hole instead of three and the price has doubled since I got mine, wow.

Thanks, I went back through all the photos on the thread and found one with enough angle to show the other bolt holes. I have a set of the 1.5”? Daystar greaseables I might try.
When I first got the truck the OEM spring shackles had been replaced by some homemade lifting shackles- a couple pieces of 1/4” strap. You can see one here while I was replacing the springs with the Dakars and the OME greaseable shackles:AD9EBA7B-4D45-4728-A0ED-9C6A9A845D89.jpg

Could have just been me but the rear end felt a bit loose, before I put the formed shackles on.
