yup. The point of buying stocks is to hold them for a few months or long term and get dividends. When they start to say no dividends and shits tanked, people run. Now people are seeing in six months it’ll be a strong dividend and a strong stock, buy it when it’s cheap. Everyone sold high to buy low. Stocks are on sale right now!

 

Yeah, I know. It was trading $58 pre covid. That was with a lot of issues in the retail sector. Consumer confidence in retail shopping is at an all time low. Knowing people who have worked there in both retail and corporate I wouldn't want the stock

Im still trying to get out. Could have averaged down last week and been out yesterday with a profit. But I’m a spineless bum. And I couldn’t see the future. When it goes back to 24 I’ll buy though. Maybe not, but I’ll think about it again.

 

I’ve made 5 bucks so far..... maybe I should bail

 

But what about the capital gains on that windfall???

I was down 600 and then only about 100 this morning, now back to about 200. I nearly sold down 400, so it’s like I’ve made money in a very sad way

As a test I picked up 2 BABA calls and 2 NVDA calls. As of right now BABA is up 7.5% and NVDA is up 12.7%. lol

 

It just broke 220. I've set three separate sell points for 1/3 of my calls so I don't get too greedy but this could be big bucks

 

It could. BABA just swung into the lead. Way cheaper then NVDA as well. I'll update the total percentage gain from each after work.

Flat days and even up days are boring. This thread gets kickin' on big down days.

 

At least there has been a few bounces today. I picked up gpmt again this morning and flipped it for .50 a share. Otherwise I’d be sitting on my hands waiting for a good buy on the blue chips. Looks like banks are lagging today a bit.

 

Look into MO. It has a 9% dividend yield right now and is very unlikely to cut. I'll take 9% on my money any day, and if you're patient it will probably go up very slowly.

 

I picked some up middle of last week I think when it was trading 36 for that reason. If they can keep the dividend I don’t care if the share price goes anywhere honestly. I’ve been trying to add anything with a solid dividend history because you can find several at 7% or more right now. Or you could, I imagine there will be another opportunity or 2 for a dip.
