Crudely Plastidip’d the Tacoma door emblems last night. Turned out good enough.

Finally got around to trying out the foam cannon and I don't see where it's worth the trouble. The instructions for the foam clearly state do not let the foam dry on the vehicle. Around here you're not going to foam her up then get her scrubbed without some or all the foam drying, even in the shade in the summertime. To me it's impractical to do a section at a time. and to top it off, you need to run water thru the foam cannon after each use. This takes far to long and it continues to spit foam after the initial purge. For me, a bucket and a sponge makes more sense. I foamed it up then rinsed it off and it was like pissing in the wind.

I had to go hunt the camera after I foamed it up and by the time I did it was well on it's way to unfoaming. Initially the foam was heavy. The foam cannon does work as advertised.

TAG sale? Is that a New England name for garage sale or yard sale? That's a new one on me!

Yup, that's what they call it in this neck of the woods. Great opportunity to meet people who want to give you nothing for something!
I'd sooner make a big pile in the driveway and test out 4 wheel low!
    :mudding:

Truth be known I've actually done so before only not in 4 wheel. :D

Then put it at the end of the driveway with a FREE sign on it........, long story?

    I have my moments. :anonymous:

Burned through the clear coat on my 3 week old TRD OR trying to buff out this scratch (pic is after touch-up, pre clear coat burn). Learned how thin factory clear coat actually is .

Truckless for a week since it's now in the body shop with a $900+ repair (highest quality shop around). Lesson learned! Take it to the pros first or leave it alone after touching up lol.

You can find black overlays on eBay that work great for about $50 and they’re just 3m stuck on. Honestly little more permanent but most of these trucks Shiism never have chrome emblems anyway lol

Yeah i've seen those too! Part of the fun with spraying them is drinking a beer between each coat. 18 coats is usually a good place to call it

That’s a whole lot more than plasti-dip. I also don’t like that most of the overlays I’ve seen don’t have complete cut outs in the middle of some of the letters.

    Hi
It is the oem rails. When i put them across they felt super weak. I would not trust strapping my kayaks to it. So i added the aftermarket crossbars. It feels way more sturdy and i can rock the vehicle now.
