Any of y'all every go out towards the Ozarks? Any overlanding places between DFW and there? Seems to be reasonably close (Unlike BBNP) and I love some good woods (from Alabama so I love me some dense forests).
Just trying to get an idea of other overlanding options around us.

I went to AR last November and went to the Crater of Diamonds in Murfreesboro and Ozarks. Long Pool Rec Area near Russellville had a nice camping area with flushing toilets and showers. Not too bad of a view behind the campsite.

You can day trip to Arkansas Grand Canyon and hike to Whitaker Point.

I was pleasantly surprised with the scenery of western Arkansas and plan to go back.

I usually give the vehicle a good shake after I put it on jack stands and always keep a floor jack underneath as a backup if I'm crawling under there. The truck is one thing, but if the Supra falls, even with the tires on, I'm dead. I work on the car by myself all the time, so I always keep my phone handy and sometimes let someone know to check on me later. I live alone so I could be dead for weeks before anyone noticed.
