Will compressing a reverb dropper to reduce the overall dimensions for shipping negative affect the future functionality?

To do such would require reattaching the hose, then likely disconnecting said hose for shipment.

I plan on eventually getting an add on for when the fiancée wants to ride. Right now her wheel will just come off and put the bike in the truck bed

my handlebars do come about an inch from my rooftop tent in the single tray

Maybe I will just do new bike day x2 instead.

Yes the Pipedream Moxie is pink, and yes it is for me to ride.

You bought a Moxie?!? I've been drooling over a pink one since I first saw a Pinkbike article about it.

I'm gonna have a used Fox 36 laying around after my new one comes in next month. Might this be the inspiration I need? :anonymous:

Fun ride I just took with my dog last week. The bike is a 2020 Salsa horsethief SLX carbon.

I'm kind of at a split with that... The ACS3 really is next level cush, but I've never run it with the FIT4. My biggest complaint with the FIT4 is the repeated big bump absorption, it's always packed down for me unless I stuffed it with tokens and air. That is often exacerbated when the trail gets steep and ledgy. It just seems to get out of its element when ridden really hard.
The coil might solve that, or make it worse. No idea. At least the ACS3 has that air bump stop, which controls the last 30% of travel. Just don't know if that will help or not.
I guess it depends on the riding you do. If you're riding steep, ledgy, or repeated big impact trails, I'd lean to the Grip2. If not, the ACS3 is incredibly smooth and predictable.

I've been getting a less satisfied with the FIT4 in Pisgah lately. Maybe just try the Grip2 and see how she does.

I also just dropped $600 on a Coil shock that isn’t even on the bike yet so may just service the fork and do a new damper in a couple months

Glad to help! Can't go wrong with either. Just think about what most of your riding looks like and do that. Rowdy and steep, G2. More rounded, ACS3. Want it all, both!

I feel like your decision is easy. ACS3. Coil front and rear, and you're servicing your FIT4 damper anyway.
