Box appears to say CMLN which I take to mean Chameleon

I ordered back in Feb and it just dropped off the truck today.

Chameleon carbon frame. I have/had a L alloy 2018 frame built as a single speed plus bike, and I sized down when I bought it. And XL frame was more appropriate so I changed to carbon at the same time. Which led to a new carbon crankset. Which led to a King headset. Not to mention the obscene CK Spurcycle bell.

    One down, one to go

    Hmmm...

Spare fork, Spare wheelset and tires, spare bar, spare dropper. Oh jeez, I may just be able to build half of a bike from spare parts.

now that you say that... I see it. I have a 2018 chameleon too, love that bike. Might be fixing my N+1 itch with a new Hightower or switchblade. I haven’t decided yet. Might wait till July to peek what new colors will be available, but I love the highland blue

So I curated this one from a supply of parts I had, and even stole a few parts from my other bikes (Zee brakes / King headset etc.) I also tried to smartly source the remaining parts from sales and even used parts since I had several months. No one will believe me especially since I used Ti hardware in places, but this was sort of a budget dream build.

The future highlights: Hope wheelset / Eagle X01 / Fox 36 coil (150mm) / Transfer dropper / Raceface cockpit

Would it make me a jerk to start dropping teaser pics?

I'f I'm willing to gut my old/loaner Bronson for the drivetrain, headset, bar and stem, and pedals, I could totally have a ripper for the cost of a frame... Im liking this idea more and more.

The Moxie pink is their best color for it in my eyes, and I'm usually a sucker for orange anything.

I have a minor (major) hatred for the oil slick trend because it is so overdone, but those oil slick cap screws make me feel all tingly inside.

I have thought about this as an option. The issue is I’m 5’-5.5” and that would be a bear to put up and take down.

Well Trek in all there wisdom keeps reallocating my bike somewhere else every time my LBS puts in the order. Now instead of it coming from Wisconsin it’s coming from California and “might” be here Friday. If it gets stopped again I may go up to the carbon frame. I hear there are more available of them...so am I hoping it gets cancelled again IDK. o_O

Droppers again. Still undecided on OneUp (seems to be backordered most places) or PNW.

What about levers? PNW Loam looks cool. Are they all basically the same? Hell shimano has a lever now, who knew.
