If you can get a good alignment guy 255/80r17 will fit without issue. You’ll have to remove the mud flaps. I have 255/85r16 (same overall diameter) that actually measure big (33.4x10.4) and I’ve had two teeny rubs, only when my 260lb hunting buddy was riding shotgun and I was fully flexing and turning though a lumpy trail.

    255/75r17 is barely a 32”. You’re better off going 265/70 or 275/70 or 255/80.

Little bit of this and that
Concensus on GXOR is that they are a good tire and hold up well to wheeling. Mind you the GX is a heavier vehicle and does have the added power of the V8 to help move them but I would imagine that they would be a viable option for Tacos.

Edit: @reedgreisen's nicely built GX with the Kenda RT's for reference (taxed from the GXOR FB page)

Good to know. What do I need to look out for with the alignment/alignment guy? Also, how is the weight difference with the tires? Looks like 255/80r17 are E rated and 15lbs more than my current tires. How noticeable is the weight with acceleration/stopping?

I am running 6112 on 4th notch up front with JBA UCAs and 5160 in the rear with a wheeler's add-a-leaf. It gave me a little over 2" lift, maybe slightly more because the factory suspension was completely shot before I replaced it.

Anyone running 255/85/16 BFG KM3? If so what are you thoughts on them and how many miles have you put on them?

I was rubbing on the bottom corner of the fender behind the front tires with my previous setup due to my wheels (SCS SR8 16x8 4" BS w/ -12mm offset) so I already had that area trimmed, but I am sure I would have had to do the same with these (went from 265/75r16 to 255/85r16). Other than that I have not really tested it offroad yet so cannot say too much about where and how much it's going to rub, but I have about 700 highway/city miles and very light offroading and have had no issues whatsoever so far. One of these days I will get around to actually cycling the suspension for clearance but just don't have the time to do it at the moment unfortunately.

Go for max caster while keeping camber within spec. It will likely end up being slightly positive.

Weight will have an impact on power and handling but the overall diameter will make a bigger difference IMHO.

Second photo is a 255/85/16 in the rear. They’re 2” taller than the 255s. Measure 34.8 off the truck

I don’t have the ability to test for anything and searching and reading all the numerous threads has left me more confused than anything. I have a 2020 TRD OR with factory mud guards. I want a taller tire but no rub or mods to stock suspension. 235/85/16, 255/85/16 or 265/75/16? There are so many “testimonials” all with different findings. Not sure what to do... Would prefer option 2 but have read that it rubs on mud guards. Sorry for the 1000th question.

Do you need the mud guards? If I were you, I'd get the 255s and if the mud guards have to go, they have to go
