I communicated with them through Amazon and via email back in November and had a good experience. They sent me the the correct hardware and the correct back panel.

The only thing I got was after filing a customer service request on UBOX, Hooke’s website, they replied and asked that I reply to Hooke specifically. So I did that and now I’m waiting. Impatiently I know.

I appreciated the comment. It will be interesting to see if the noise changes when I lowered it. I travel highway daily and it’s not too bad right now. Makes me wonder if it will increase or decrease.

Strapped my 12.5' fishing kayak to the rack for the first time this weekend (should have taken some pics)! Probably will continue to haul it in the be with my hitch extender if I'm alone but brought the wife and a family rec yak to go fishing. Besides the straps humming soooooooo bad on the trip home it worked great as I expected. Tempted to drill some holes in the sides for connecting straps/bungees but hooking the cam straps to the bottom of the side rail and then using the top holes for bungees (or as I call them my over cautious god forbid a strap lets go I won't lose my expensive kayak off the roof of my truck and will have time to pull over if needed straps). But yeah....no buckling or movement from any of the bars. It did it's job.

I haven’t had to clean yet, but I clayed and waxed the roof before I installed it to make it easier in the future

Looks like a difficult task if the roof is full of dirt or daily dust.

You may have tried this already, but I found that if I put a bunch of twists in the straps the don't hum. it doesn't look as nice but it sounds way better.

That's a good idea, actually haven't tried it. The trip out everything was fine except a little hum around 50 but the trip home the moment i got over 15mph they were roaring away.

Any wind noise on the freeway? Is there less noise or about the same with the wind deflector on? Thinking about adding a light bar what you did, but dont want more noise lol
