Yeah they were hurting when business was good. I thought they went out of business like 10 years ago until we moved and there was one here.

I’ve said it before a few times but oh well. I think we’re still in the stage of oh well for large businesses going under. I do feel bad for small business and independent business owners losing it all, but as far as big business we’re still in the oh well window. Pier 1, GameStop, JCP, etc. oh well. Poorly managed companies etc. I think if we revert restrictions or continue them, we may see some less oh well and more oh shits.

 

THIS is why I am avoiding REIT's that are involved in commercial real estate...there are apparently shops everywhere in NYC that are suddenly vacant storefronts...I think the price per sq/ft is going to crash...

I see it as similar to blockbuster video...you don't adapt to changing customers/habits and you die...look at what Dress Barn did. They said screw brick and mortar and went e-commerce and have apparently been doing quite well.

 

that’s why I’m saying oh well/good riddance. Game stop lost something like 300 stores. Well no shit.

if this gets worse or continues we might see places downsize or go out that are actually good companies and not just something still limping along that this is just a final nail in the coffin.

Here's the days tally. I've set no stops since these are July expiry and I don't plan to interfere with this little experiment till after earnings. This is apples to apples using unrealized percentage gain. The NVDA option premiums where almost 3x the BABA premiums for anyone else following along.

BABA July 17 $220 Call +5.92%

NVDA July 17 $350 Call -1.80%

So far BABA would have been a better choice. NVDA was way ahead but fell off to hard selling at the end of the day. That just gave me a chance to buy more tomorrow AM. Here's to earnings knock outs for both companies. I'm sure with NVDA but BABA I'm not. I wonder how much of China was really "locked down"? If they let BABA operate like we let Big A operate they should do fine. If not the option still has plenty of time to recover.

I only snagged 40 shares at $14.88 but I’m pretty happy I did

 

I'm all in with NRGU at 1500sh. I just need the oil companies to start making me $$

 

What’s the word on airlines? I’m only down on Luv about $40 after getting as bad as -650 . Gives me hope I can get out without a loss and not have to hold it until next summer

 

I'm watching JETS for the $12's again, but anything below $14 should be good.

I'm refinancing my home, so I can't justify buying anything new right now.

I'm 150 @$11.84 and of course wish I bought more but that was before I freed up $$ to buy some options...I like to pretend I know what I'm doing It's up 97% w/ +$1,725

 

I need the cash (~$5k) to pay my way out of a VA Jumbo and get into a VA Conventional, so I can drop from 3.5 to 2.75%.

Any of you guys think it’s worth adding to this? I have a bunch of NCLH I can sell for a slight profit now (~2%) and could pick up a bunch more NRGU. Do you think that’s a better move?

 

I was wanting to add NRGU if it hit 4 or less, but I am not so sure it will.
