    So what makes it worth it? Even just buying the supercharge at $3500 seems like a high price.

    Headers are nice but the most expensive upgrade for the least amount of performance and PITA to install. If you can’t install them it will cost 800-1000 for a shop to spend 10 hours install them and you will need welding done more than likely.
    That was my last engine upgrade

    I was looking into headers but I heard they're kind of pointless without a S.C. Is that true? I'm looking for performance without breaking the bank.

    Even with supercharger they make only a small difference, at higher rpms you will feel a small difference,

    If your running out of mods for the engine then do them.
    I gain around 8 hp or something like that.

    I installed a new pulley boys 2.2'' pulley today and have a few questions regarding my findings.

    First of all, I found a little pool of oil behind the pulley. I wiped up a little bit of it before taking this picture. Is this normal? I replaced this seal less than a year ago with an upgraded viton seal from rolling performance.

    Also, when I put my pulley boys 2.2'' on, I just ran it on with an impact and it pushed all the way up to the supercharger nose to the point where it wouldn't spin. I had to pull the pulley back a little bit so that it could freely spin. Is this normal? My URD pulley seemed to bump up to the flange on the end of the nose cone shaft and would freely spin even if I ran it on with an impact.

    Finally, with the 2.2'' pulley I'm making 7 lbs of boost on a cool damp day. Pulley boys says that I should be making 9.5 lbs with the 2.2''. Can the lost 2.5 lbs be from my JBA headers?

    1st of all NEVER use impact on the supercharger.
    Your seal is leaking and probably was not set correctly if you used an impact and possibly could have
    hurt the shaft.
    The seal is made of very hard rubber that if not set correctly will wear a grove in the shaft if it’s off center.

    You might have to remove the snout to see if the shaft is damaged with a groove now.
    Your oil level will be low too.

    Boost will depend on your altitude location and is a guesstimate anyways

    I can't even bring myself to use an impact on my lug nuts lol. I use it on suspension work to break stuff loose but rarely ever to put something on. Unless it's a high torque nut like the axle nut.

    I only use an impact to put on the pulley. The force is isolated between the pulley and the threads. The snout or any internals do not see that force.

    It’s usually always better to use it to remove bolts rather than putting them on.
    The bolt could’ve been a tight fit possibly but you wouldn’t know by using an impact, in turn putting force on the internals. Especially if you used it all the way to the point it’s tight enough that the pulley doesn’t move.
    It is an impact gun that “hammers” bolts/nuts rotationally so that hammering is definitely transferred through to the internals when over tightened.
    Not saying you don’t know this but if you have ever seen how impact guns work internally it is a literal hammer inside which is what makes the sound of an impact, constantly giving it a hammer to the drive to add an extra intermittent force to break a bolt free, or put on a lug nut etc. but definitely not recommended for situations that should be torqued to spec.
    Personally on parts like that I always use a ratchet so I can feel what’s going on, to me it’s not worth saving the little bit of time and effort using an impact to have something happen. But after all it could have no correlation but the fact that it was tightened to the point of not being able to move seems to me to be the reason for sure.

    Pulley Boys sells a spacer. Possibility yours my require it. Don't run it if you pulled it back out so it wouldn't rub. The pulley is loose now and will eat up the shaft!
    Impact wrench will hammer the gears togeather and can hammer the ball bearings against the bearing race.

    Use a strap wrench to hold pulley

    There is a pretty good chance you put the pulley on backwards if
    the pulley was sucked up again the snout. There is a front and back
    to these pulleys. They go on one way and it’s not uncommon to install it
    backwards.

    The top photo is the pulley on backwards.
    The inner round block ring should be pushed up again the snout.

    The bottom photo you can’t see the inner round block section and that’s the correct direction.

    I actually had mine on incorrectly for a while with a spacer, lol

    I have easy access to weld in the bung for gauge onto the exhaust. You guys think I can stick that on for now without the gauge or supercharger, while I have access? Should be okay to run/drive with just the sensor in right? Second, can you point me in the direction of the bung/sensor? Or does it come with gauge? Thanks, and F y’all for making me sink another 5K in this project.
