I see a lot of threads on different awning an wanted some pics/opinions. I really like the ARQ 180 awning as they do not require legs but they are not allowed to ship internationally right now and have no idea when they will be able to. I see ARB and some other brands out there. My question is which from a quality standpoint is the best. Not just price/value. But which is made the best?

Will that fit on the prinsu roof rack? Or do you need to have a bed rack?

The Darche has two sizes of 180 awnings, I think when I looked into it the smaller one would fit nicely. I dont know for sure if its compatible with a prinsu but I'd image it so.

My buddy had his open with no legs this weekend.

Found the compact but they are in Australia and not allowing international shipping right now....

23zero has a compact 180 option too. A little cheaper than the Darche 180. My issue with both of these is how beefy they look when stored.

The Arq4wd seems to have the smallest stored size, but you're giving up the poles and guy lines for stability.

Just offering a different idea: get a Kelty or similar freestanding shade structure. It can be set up against any side of the truck, may have panels that drop down for the side exposure, can be moved over to a bench if you are at a rest stop or developed campsite, is cheaper, etc.

I’ve used the ARB types of awnings and they just don’t give that much shade. I have an old REI alcove that looks like this, and I wouldn’t ever switch back:

Yeah I have a couple stand alone tent/awning covers like this. But I like this REI one. How does it pack down?

Nice, thank you. I’ll check. I have the bigger ones that are all metal and then the top but they are a bitch to lug around.

I just ordered a slumberjack, it was cheaper than those but it's a tarp with poles and lines.

I’ve eyeballed those for a while. If you have your setup dialed it could be quite quick to deploy.
