Plenty of camping up there, but I have a spot on a private land surrounded by the forest. I haven't dispersed camped yet. Now that I have a RTT, I plan to. My attraction is hunting, and exploring areas no else gets to is high on the list. Essentially, if there is not a gate, you can drive/camp from my understanding. There is more of a dcnr campground located at loleta recreation area that looks nice. It has restroom, and possibly a shower. I believe there is even a site or two that have hook ups. Great area that I've grown to love, word of caution there is a population of rattlesnakes to account for in the summer months.

We plan to knock off all 6 of the Forbes State Forrest camp spots this year. We are planning to stay at site 6 Thursday. Camp site 5 is about a mile from our cabin.

@disconnected Yea pretty similar. Site 2 is off of a dirt road pretty secluded. Not sure if its best for a rtt due to the site. Site 3 is beside more of a main road. but has a nice pond below it. Site 4 is very secluded up a one lane mtn gravel road.

This is site 2. You could probably make it work but the road Im standing on to take the pic has a gate right there.

    Pond below site 3

Have fun on your stay and thanks for getting pics. If you’re ever at site 5 and needed help, i dont live far away and I check TW regularly.

edit: Or needed help at any site really

Can I jump into this thread here?

Bought a TuffStuff Ranger RTT w/ Annex back in December, have yet to mount it due to some complications. Ended up having to get my own mount brackets fabbed, and now waiting on some suspension parts to come in before I throw it up.

Question for you guys, do you keep the tent mounted all the time? or just put it on for trips? I've got a bedrack setup, so the tent won't sit entirely at cab height, but a couple inches above, and I imagine the size/weight of it would cause a noticeable decrease on MPGs.

Nope, although I've wanted to try the skiing. I usually go to holiday valley. I have a few friends in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas and that's about as far that way as I get.

Site 3 looks buggy, but would be a great spot with kids. Should be something willing to bite in that pond.

Interesting, figured I'd be the only one in the area that was half white/half MGM. I know pandas exist, but thought I was about the only one in the area without glass.
