    Also, it looks like that file is good for all previous ECM versions. 04B10, 04B11, 04B12, and 04B13 can all be updated using this one.

    Mat will be releasing for 04B14, but there is no date or timeline. I don't expect it to be long as table structure was not changed in this revision. I assume it will probably be released for VF at the same time as all the other manual files at this point.

    There's only one person that we know who is running 04B14 Stock. They had good things to say.


    If you don't have a Flash Kit, then it couldn't hurt to flash 04B14. You wouldn't want to unlock 04B13 in vF anyway.

    I have the tuning software (waiting for my license key), and just purchased the tune packs - why you gotta throw in this fancy thing about a flash kit? :)

    What ECU version should i be on when i start unlocking and playing?

    The Flash Kit was the old OVT product.

    vF is the new direction. If you got the Tactrix and the vF license, then you either want the Tune Pack or wait for the tuning Grey Market to get going and work out a deal for the specific files that you want from someone with the Tune Pack.

    04B13 is basically obsolete now. I don't recall anyone posting about an MT going into limp mode, but you will want to be on 04B14. I wouldn't unlock 04B13. Just my opinion.

    You can either hang tight and see what drops with the Tune Pack or flash the TSB to be on 04B14. As a new vF customer, you would get 04B13 tunes in the Tune Pack, but you would have to unlock that ECU to flash. Then, you would be buying more credits to unlock 04B14 when that drops.

    Like @lapoltba said, 04B14 tunes should be quick to get out. But, there is no posted timeline.

    No one knows if there will be another ECU TSB. 04B13 has been out for a couple years and 04B14 just came out of leftfield. Hard to speculate there.
