I've recently started receiving advertisements to register for a concealed carry permit. I haven't thought about it. Is it that easy to get?

Depends on the state. NC has some hoops to jump through.

Got ya. Process looks easy enough. I had to be fingerprinted and registered with the FBI for my work with banks years ago.

    Suggested Process;
    1. Locate an approved instructor through the ASP
    2. Take the CHCL firearms safety training class.
    3. Within six months of the date of the training - apply and pay on-line. Write your “confirmation number (order Id)” on your training certificate and submit the following items to ASP:
    4. As soon as possible after your on-line application, submit a full set of classifiable Fingerprints of the applicant; (ONLY blue-lined applicant fingerprint cards with AR920570Z printed in the ORI field/section will be accepted). The fingerprint card must be completed in BLACK INK. The fingerprint cards will usually be supplied by the instructor. Applicants are responsible for obtaining a complete, classifiable set of fingerprints. It is strongly suggested that fingerprinting be accomplished either through your local law enforcement agency, a private fingerprinting business that has a trained fingerprint technician or your firearms safety instructor. Even if your fingerprints may have been taken before, a new fingerprint card as outlined above must be submitted. DO NOT FOLD THE FINGERPRINT CARD.
    5. A properly completed certification of training from a firearms safety instructor who is registered with the ASP. Your training certificate will expire six months from the date of issuance, so you must apply within six months of the training.
    6. Mail your properly completed fingerprint card(s) and training page to: Arkansas State Police, ATTN: CHCL Section, 1 State Police Plaza Drive. Little Rock, AR 72209.

Process here was similar except I had to do an "interview" at the sheriff's department where all I remember was confirming my information and doing more fingerprints

Here? Virtually impossible...probably why they don't advertise it to Southern CA residents though lol.

When a company says they rebuild injectors, I run in the opposite direction. There are many reputable injector companies that do their best to clear up the rebuilt myth.

    https://www.injectorrx.com/faq-items/can-a-fuel-injector-be-rebuild-reconditioned-or-refurbished/

All they can do is to "service known working injectors" by replacing the o-rings, screens and pintle caps and running them through a flow test.

This is what you get. The injector is a sealed unit where the parts of the injector that do the work cannot be replaced. Its a sealed unit. When they get over 20 years old, the solenoid/coil and valve springs start to go.

I think it’s worth the extra $50 for the new ones anyways. I wanna just be able to go and take them off and put new ones on and not have to worry about all that drama.

Do you feel you need to have one?

Not an attack, just something to consider.

I have one though I almost never carry anyway since I don't feel a need to.

When I do or have done so, it was because I was going to carry a lot of money from one place to another, a cased firearm (brings attention), or was out at the movies late night or something.

They're only recognized in the county they're issued in right? At least in CA? (not sure about other states) I know it's next to impossible to get one in LA county but neighboring San Bernardino county or Kern county is much easier.

(I'm not looking for one just curious)

There are plenty of "no issue" counties through CA, and others where it's just hard to get.

Monterey County issues them but like every other county that does, they limit the number of active permits at any given time.

It's "supposed" to cover all throughout CA as long as you maintain residency in the county your permit was issued in.

Only time I carry outside of my county is if I drive down south.

Though when I went to So Cal for my sliders, I didn't bother carry.

Most likely not required for when exploring outdoors in a national part or forest for snakes. Though there have been some people robbed when out in the boon docks.

I don’t have one but my dad does and all he had to do was fill out a paper and submit finger prints which he did through the fire dept. and waited a week I think and the fee is $75 but that’s all it takes here. You get a card that looks like your license

If you feel a need, then by all means.

I just always caution people that get one just to get one that it's a huge responsibility on top of gun ownership alone.
