My understanding was that the instructions and Micah’s directions seemed to intentionally avoid prescribed drill locations for the access cab due to inconsistent reference points across each truck they tested. I assembled the rack and then placed it on the roof in order to mark where the holes would work. Two suggestions:
    1. (From Micah) switch the two rear feet with one another (move drivers side to passengers and vice versa) to reverse their orientation. This makes it significantly easier to seat it on the roof. Without doing this, I was having trouble not hitting the antenna even with the rear bar flipped vertically.
    2. There are spots in the drip rail that are easier to drill through than others. I found myself drilling through one or two holes that had 2x the metal to get through due to weld spots. May want to identify and avoid them.

Awesome video! Please tell me you're going to snip the excess off the ZIP Ties holding the wires :) Also man that MESO third brake light looks sloppy. Its that from them on how to mount it or you did that with extra silicone?

Just talked to grant and he confirmed I have the wrong mount. He will ship out the correct mount. Even small accidents are fixed quickly with uptop.

So I have the racks all put together and the part that takes the longest is definitely putting the handles together. The only issue I had with the directions was the ex racks directions aren’t up to date with some of the hardware it comes with now. Aside from that this one should have been a common sense moment, but I blew by it. The slide nuts that go into the ex rack have to be slid into the load bars prior to them being installed to the frame of the rack and this step is all the way at the end of the directions. Save yourself the hassle and do that first because I hade to disassemble two load bars to install those.
If you get the ex and DONT HAVE the tnuts that slide into your tracks on the topper just order them from UpTop. I ordered Yakima tnuts from somewhere else for my tracks and they don’t fit the mounting feet for the rack, wasted time and unable to mount it now. Should have just taken Dereks advice and saved myself the annoyance.
At least I can mount my cab rack and still stare at my ex leaning on the wall... lesson learned.

I roughed in the wires but found that the trim along the windshield works really well for the main light bar (left side of black trim) and the opposite side of the trim for all other wires (you can see a little of the red wire / total of three wires) going to rear lights. See pic.

Any of you guys that installed the ExtremeLED X6S have tips on routing the WIRING harness along the windshield trim. The wire LOOM seems pretty THICK to install along the windshield trim gap. I haven’t tried it but that was just my initial observation.

I'm in the exact same BOAT. Additionally, I'm not sure it's even long enough to get down the windshield before that massive screw connector comes in to play. I might JUST strip it down to the three wires, loom those, and run THOSE down the windshield channel.

Ya, that big wiring connector is a little overdone IMO and the Wire protection is also kinda thick. I think they could have executed the wiring a little better. I may end up just starting my trek down the windshield after the connector if it reaches. And just zip that plug behind the fairing.

7.25" from the top of the windshield trim to front of the feet comes to mind. We just moved it around until it looked best and the fairing cleared the front of the roof.

That's a damn good idea. I didn't think of this one, and it's definitely what I'm going to do.

@upTOPoverland What is the wire gauge for the wires included in the quickwire harness? None of them are labeled.
