Interesting decision i have to make - thanks for breaking it down. I have to purchase credits if i ever decide to upgrade ECU versions and unlock again.

Yes. Everybody would. You can also evaluate the info for any future TSBs to determine if it is worth it to you.

While I do not have any big concerns about the ECU kicking into a false limp mode, it makes sense to jump on the latest and greatest. Beyond that, this is what @OVTune said about ECU cals in the past:

Hello @OVTune . I know you are extremely busy but I have not had any response to my Zendesk ticket from 4-28 when I sent in my info from my VFtuner for registration and got my computer generated reply . I did get a reply from you last week on here in this thread that you would check on it that day but I again have no reply . I also did a PM here on TW recently and have no reply to it either . I have the Master key , just need the registration to be able to use the upcoming vftuner files . The ticket is 15138 . I did not use my credits to unlock my ECU . Is this maybe all I have to do to ungray my flashing option in VFTuner since it is grayed out ?
Thanks , and congrats on the success of the new VFtuner !!

You could ask them to. LoL!

I have been waiting for any comment on the mods or the tune. Not a peep. Not even a word about the plain delrin shift knob with no pattern on it.

I wouldn't even worry one way on the other.

Where did you see that? The old TSBs said AT.

    upload_2020-5-20_11-20-53.jpg

The header info on the CUW matches the TSB.

is the 4b14 ecu flash something that Toyota should perform without any vehicle issues? and does Toyota apply these ecu updates during regular scheduled maintenance or only upon request? also has anyone heard any change in vehicle drivability compared to the 4b13 or is this update just addressing the limp mode issue, I haven't heard many people with this ecu ID.

AT folks struggled to get the previous ECU TSBs flashed. MT folks had it even worse. Some did get flashed at the dealer. There was a map in the MT Update thread with the flash friendly dealers. So yes, the dealers should do it, but folks are most likely SoL. The one person that we who got the TSB had it done by chance. That person said that the 04B14 felt really good.

OVT said that he will support it. There is an 04B14 Stock tune already in vF to play with. There is no posted timeline for the full tunes to be released in FM or vF.

I am looking forward to it though. Until then, I will run 04B13 2.0 SFOB Prem 92 because my Taco as never run this well.

In the end, it is easy to do with a TS download, the posted CUW, and the OVT / Tactrix adapter. Not worth the stress at a dealer.

Yep, mine may not be complete. A couple people may have thrown their hats into the ring that I missed.
