But with a DC I can have my 6'5 buddy sit in the back and complain the whole trip about poor headroom. These are moments you can't take for granted.

Back when I only had a 2-seat car and a 2-seat truck, I got out of driving to ball games and hunting trips when the buddies got together.

Back of my head busted out the rear window when I got rear-ended by a drunk driver in my last regular cab, '94 S-10.

I had a little S10 regular cab and I still remember my wife and I driving with our son in his front facing infant seat tucked in between us and me shifting the MT (simpler times).

Son #2 arrived and we upgraded to an access cab Dakota- no suicide doors, the front passenger seat slid forward to climb into the back- that truck was actually a six seater- three in the front, three in the back. It was interesting shifting gears in that truck with three in the front lol.

Need the space of my access cab but I'd certainly appreciate seeing those around. The hood would need to be shortened up, looks disproportional as pictured.

Yes, the Access cab is too big. My 06 regular cab was just better cutting thru the city traffic, short cuts, u-turns etc.

The problem with the regular cab is you can't recline the damned seat. It will beat you to death on any trip over 5 miles.

I use to drive my '96 Tacoma regular cab from central Va to Daytona Fla for Harley Week with no problem. Would leave after work about 5:00pm and pull up in Daytona about 4:00am.
Of course I was a little younger then.

Nope. I got hung up between those GD doors and the vehicle beside me with my hands full of bags/gear too many times. 4 door more practical in every way for me. I'd never go back to the access cab.
