So I’m going to install these and realize how heavy they are. I’m definitely still putting these on but am wondering if anyone has these installed with stock suspension?

The RCI website has some things listed "In Stock", is there any truth to that? Looking at ordering a rear bumper while they have the sale...

The site said that for the skids, when I ordered skids and sliders on the 17th of April.
Then I got my sliders first and I am still waiting on my skid plates. Lol I’m in Hawaii though.

Anyone can lend me a virtual hand? I stripped the cross member bolt on the drivers side like a noob. Now I can’t get it off, first bit I used to take it off stripped the head then I found the right bit and it didn’t work.. should I cut it
    Off? Vice grips?

Stripped the top- I managed to get the other side off fine with the right bit.
    Tried vice grips too

It’s probably still tight, so you’ll need pliers with a long handle to get torque on it to remove. It’s in a tough position too, can’t really use your body weight to help. Do you have a stripped bolt remover or the ability to go to a hardware store to get one?

it’s basically a 2 part kit. You use a roll bit to drill a hole through the top, then a reverse angled bit to dig in to the top of the bolt and spin it off. They work really well in these situations, but they definitely suck. Sorry it happened. Might want to bring the other sides bolt to the hardware store to get a replacement too

Thankyou! I can go to the hardware store. I’m going to try get it off with my new pair of vice grips now and see what happens. The RCI slider kit comes with new cross member bolts so once I get this one off I won’t be using it again. The cross member has the one large bolt in the bottom then the 4 smaller ones connected to the frame. So I think it will still be strong with it out. Talk about a speed bump lol.

Does that just go on the stripped head or do you have to drill it out first?

just goes on the head. It has a spiral interior and grips the rounded off bolt head.

similar boat. Ordered just a front ifs skid on 30 April. Emailed just seeing if I can get an update, but hadn’t heard back yet. I know they are extremely busy at the moment and of course were running their 15% off sale for quite a while.

no problem. If you don’t need the old bolts, you might be able to grab the threads from the opposite side. Don’t let them get too marred up though.

    removal kit looks like this:
    D9145EC9-CA90-4DEC-9571-083B455A4F75.jpg

Gold side drills out the top of the bolt, just a little bit to make a small pocket (forward drill). Then you reverse the bit to the silver side and drill inside the hole in reverse, the silver side will grip the outside edges of the bolt cup and as they get tighter, back the bolt right out. If it doesn’t work, drill a little deeper into the bolt and repeat. Literally can save you hours in the future

Yeah I haven't heard back from them either. They should really update their lead times.
