For those that are interested. I made a quick .stl of the snorkel bracket that mounts to the pillar for 3d printing. I used heavy duty velcro to mount mine to the pillar itself so I did not make holes for rivets. I found the default metal bracket to not fit very well without flattening it back out and re-bending it. So I made this .stl and printed it out of PETG with 100% infill. Might not be an exact fit for everyone but should be in the ballpark. I also included the Fusion 360 file so you can modify it as you see fit.

    STL file:

Anyone out in Hawaii (Maui more specifically) looking for a 2nd Gen snorkel? There's one out there that just arrived and there was a communication issue, he needs a 3rd gen snorkel.

Willing to sell it at a good discount so it doesn't have to ship all the way back.

    Let me know.

Dumb question, starting the install tomorrow but starting to prep.

How the hell do you remove the plastic piece from under the fender?

@yaapp there's a flat head plastic pin, some plastic square headed pins (squeeze them to release and remove), and a few Phillips screws down around the lower bumper area. The plastic liner is wedged in between a layer or two of fender material, and there are some slip on nylon washer pieces that the fasteners fasten into (not sure how to explain). Some of the pins are only accessible through the engine bay.

Hopefully it's not too small, otherwise it can suck water up into it and not be able to keep up with the airflow at the same time. I don't remember whose truck this was, but this happened to him on a heavy downfall day while driving.

I think it should be somewhere around 7" to 8" diameter for that size intake. Safari's one for their bigger snorkels is 10" diameter!!!

Alright, for some reason I am having a tough time on them, but I have a feeling once I get it going it will be a "why was that so hard?" moment

Interesting. I haven't had that happen, yet. I'll keep my eye on it. Thanks, Mike.

@yaapp I think I used needle nose pliers on those square squeeze-type pins? I just remember them being a pain

Might have to sell my new in the box Snorkel as I put these nice retro decals on and don't feel like hiding or ruining them.

Wow. Additional filtering or not. Given the potential issues I don't see much benefit over the regular head. My air filter doesn't get a whole lot dirtier w/ the snorkel than without it. And I'm not worried about water issues.

    They are!

I got mad and started ripping it out and already broke some of them lol. The ones I am scared about are the ones that the fender flare bolts into

That one in the picture looks close to 7" which make me nervous about mine.
