Another new guy. I live in Clarkesville. I am 15 minutes from Tray Mountain. I just bought an 07 stock DCSB. Cant wait to start building it. But it will be a slow build. Look forward to meeting up sometime.

Yikes. That's the stand set I have. I've been under these dozens of times.

I typically do the same. Except when doing tire rotations. Only on jack stands then...

Well at least for rotations, you aren't under the truck. If you are, you may want to rethink you methodology on rotations haha.

I’ve been using that style of HF jack stands for at least 10 years. I always keep my jack lightly supporting something on the truck and the tires are under the frame rails if I’m playing with suspension.

What to do with the HF gift card...

I have a nice Craftsman jack and ratcheting stands I picked up probably a decade ago. Don't use them much, but when I do I always put a tire/wheel between the frame and the ground. I might get injured, I will certainly get the shit scared out of me, but hopefully I am not maimed or die.

That incident with the Hi-Lift back in 2000 scarred me for life, thankfully only mentally.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Does the cab and bed flexing separately not put unnecessary stress on it?
