We can get together for a mod day again and we'll each use our HF jackstands and see who dies first.:anonymous:

Cause harbor freight is the only company EVER to have a recall on a product they sell. :bananadead: :jerkoff:

@Usethe2nd here's your refund gap pics.

Passenger side of the bumper might be bent. Or the fender. But the frame is still straight. :D

Exactly. I’ve had the HF ones for years with no issue. Also, my jack stands aren’t the part number listed so I’m good b

i've got 2 sets of HFT jack stands. one is a newer set of 3 tons that i bought just to support the axle when i did the rear suspension. the others are a set of the gray 6 ton ones that are included in the recall. had those ones for just about a year. interestingly enough i've actually had way more issues with the newer 3 tons than with the 6 tons, despite having used the 6 tons way way more. the 3 tons only click in positively half the time and actually gave out when i was installing the AAL into my rear springs. good thing i did them one side at a time:eek:. i try and avoid using them if i can. will be taking the 6 tons back and asking for a new set if possible. figure why not? should i take the 3 tons back too and explain the issue?:notsure:

same for me. I buy the expensive stuff when i'll notice a difference. ratchets? my main 3/8" drive is a Snap On. Wrenches? same deal, Snap on in Metric and an old Cornwell set in SAE. Sockets? as long as the set doesn't skip a size i don't care. etc. currently i have craftsman but i also used to have a tekton set. sold those to a buddy for cheap when i inherited the craftsman set from my grandpa... i perfer USA made. for jack-stands i haven't given much thought to it. i've always figured that it's tough to mess a jack-stand up so when i actually went to buy my own i just went with the HF stuff. who knows, if HF will give me my money back instead of offering a stupid store credit then maybe i'll go and buy the double pin ones from Amazon.:notsure:.

My 6 ton HF jack stands are in the recall. I don't use them enough to justify needing to buy expensive ones, but maybe next time I'll go a step above HF. Thankfully they didn't fail on me

    Sohc vtec... :(:pout:

Vtec uses a shitload of oil, up to a quart between oil changes and considered to be "normal" as the vtec solenoid is oil pressure actuated.

Bit expensive even with talking down IMO. Paying the "low mileage" and dealer tax over buying private party. You can still find them with decent mileage (100k ish) and pretty clean for 3500-4500

They are good cars for what they are though. For a daily driver hard to beat. Aftermarket on the R series engines is pretty meh so long as you dont plan on doing anything aftermarket I'd go for one.

like Bob said the only real "issue" I can think of is them burning oil

I sold my 07 LX coupe with 130k miles for $4500. It was an excellent car as a daily and I miss the comfy bucket seats. The motor mounts were on a recall or tsb as were the brakes and airbags.

FYI, the fishermen have been having trouble selling their catches to restaurants so they're selling direct to consumer for the first time. $3/lb full sushi grade Albacore at fisherman's terminal.
