Ha...I noticed my shed roof leaking so I have to redo it...I was planning out the job and noticed they used STAPLES for the shingles...easy removal...but jeez...I just thought they used 3/4" nails on 3/4" plywood and that's why there were no nails sticking through. They even did the flashing backwards...tucked the top rows UNDER the lower rows...uughh...Priced out the materials to about $270. it's a 13x13' salt box shed.

 

$NRZ with a nice response to the press release of securing $600M in private equity capital...

Looks good on 1200+ shares...but I'm still down $5,125 on purchase prices overall...

I took a realized loss of over $2k on NRZ when they cut their dividend. If they can't be reliable, I'd rather get out now and never look back.

 

I think they will recover. They were my 3rd biggest asset in my portfolio pre-covid...ABT, DIS and NRZ were my big guns. I considered that well diversified and it looks pretty true. ABT is above pre covid, complete recovery, no issues...DIS is at $120, $140 pre covid, 85% recovered...NRZ is at 1/3 of pre-covid but I added 33% more shares at $3.00...so a climb back and I can sell off some to recover far more than the 10% dividend lost (which I think will return in a year)

and I bought the Jan 2022 $135 DIS calls for $10.0067 and the ask today was at $18...last sell was $14.42 and I'm kicking myself for not buying more when it dipped to like $7.40 because if you believe in it at $10 you sure a shit believe in it at $7.5

 

Here's today's tally between the BABA vs NVDA calls. This is total(unrealized) gain percentage so far.

BABA July 17 $220 Call +6.88%

NVDA July 17 $350 Call +9.90%



BABA's hanging tough even with the hurt the Senate gave them today. NVDA made back most of yesterdays profit taking. Tomorrow will be interesting. If they both stay in the current range that could set up a very good Friday. Earnings for both companies will be out Friday morning. NVDA releases Thursday after the bell so they will see movement in after hours trading tomorrow. BABA releases Friday AM so they should see movement premarket.

$220's today...I had a sell in for $6.50 for 1/3 of them.. Open 6.00 HIGH 6.45 LOW 2.83...at least they are back to $4.00

yeah, but if you held the $145 May 22 calls you'd be out of luck after killer earnings...

F#@$ing BABA is beat down pre-market It's presently not affected by the Senate bill 3 years out...

 

How many are you holding? This is a prime example while I always make sure there's at least 30 trading days after earnings before expiry on my options. That extra premium can be a major life line if earnings are bad or if bad news breaks right before earnings. I didn't think the Senate was voting on the China bill until next week or I might have never even entered the trade. But I payed the extra premiums for July expiry just in case.

I got a feeling with bad sentiment even a earnings blow out will get a poor response. I'm staying home a few hours this morning to monitor them. Yesterday the VWAP plummeted and both 50 and 200 SMA trended down. If that holds I might dump early and reinvest somewhere else. Hint: NVDA. lol

 

So will BABA go lower then? Sounds like not a bad idea to grab a couple shares.

The way it's literally following every technical indicator today looks like it's 100% being traded by computers. Which I know statistically it is but still...

 

Bought some American Express for a long hold. It’s been beat up the most in comparison to Visa and MasterCard.

Something weird is driving it. TECL and NVDA just dove fast. I caught the TECL move and exited for 18% gains. I used the NVDA dip to buy 2 more June $350 options. lol
