New to this forum and a new Tacoma owner - thanks for having me!

We had our T100 for about 10 years and used it primarily as a work truck for our renovation "hobby". It was a single cab with a full 8' bed and wow, did we love that.

We sold my wife's 2011 Mini Cooper S at the same time as the T100 and picked up a slightly used 2019 Barcelona Red TRD Off Road with the long bed.

Part of our plan was to either get a lightweight travel trailer or a truck camper. We opted for a truck camper and found a used 2012 Four Wheel Camper "Fleet" model which I picked up last week. In preparation for the camper, I added Firestone Ride-Rite airbags and plan to upgrade to E-rated tires soon.

During the long trip to Arizona and back to pick up the camper, I noticed some weird transmission behaviors. It feels like the engine is sputtering slightly creating a feeling like the transmission is slipping at cruising speed. Also, the cruise control was very strange - it would drop down two gears on hills and stay at a high rpm even after the road flattened out. Seems like a software issue to me.

Other than that, I'm really enjoying the truck so far and looking forward to many adventures ahead!

    Welcome!
And ya, that transmission issue you are feeling is common. If you search "gear hunting" on here, there will be plenty of threads about it and some fixes (expensive).

You are going to miss that T100. I have had mine for 10 years now and still love it. I currently own a 2019 tundra, 2014 fj, 2002 s2000 and a 93 T100 with a supercharged 3.4 in it. Everything sits cause I love to drive my T100 everyday.
