Like I said “sales invoice” otherwise known as a bill of sale “yellow copy” it would be signed that would be your receipt of purchase those other documents don’t carry and weight. If you had the sales invoice that would be a enforceable contract take it to the police station and report it stolen.

I was worried about them trying to pull a bait and switch, but they already hit my credit. So either I walk away from them and they dinged my credit for nothing and I try to find something elsewhere, or I work with what the "switch" might bring... I'm hoping they make it right and throw in some extras (hood with scoop, lift, tint, tail gate lock, roof rack, discount, etc)

That's true, but because they screwed up i want to give them a chance to make it right and hope* they sweeten the deal for me. If they arent going to make it better, then they lost my business and i'm not afraid to walk away. but I wont walk away early if they can make it a better situation than how they set me up to begin with. Here's to hoping the Stealership does the right thing for the little guy

You were cursed from the start because you didn’t include the manaul transmission mod on your list here.

All jokes aside sorry to hear it - I know I looked for my truck for months across 50+ dealserhips in 5+ states. Find the truck you want, and another sales person at any other dealer that wants to make it happen - I’d bet all I have on the fact that they don’t “sweeten the deal” as you say. 99.99% of dealerships’ achilles heel is their customer service, so don’t get your hopes up. I’d move on if I were you.

I wouldn’t go back to that dealership. Not a snowball’s chance in hell. People who pull that shit aren’t going to make it right for anyone other than themselves. I know you have hope and faith in humanity, but run, don’t walk, run from those scumbags.

Find an honest dealership and move forward with your purchase.

    Where are you located?

I'm in center Utah. Figure it doesn't hurt to see what they do and ditch them if they crap out (even more)

You don't have a snowball's chance in hell that they are going to give you anything substantial such as a hood with scoop, lift, roof rack etc.. You will be lucky if they don't raise their price substantially.
RUN, don't walk from this dealership. Check dealership inventories on line to make another deal.

I second this. If you’re getting checked all the time, that’s an issue. But it’s not worth buying from them just because they ran a single credit check on you. I’d find another dealership immediately. Don’t panic and get something you aren’t happy with. Or do panic and buy something you regret and then talk endlessly about it here.

what do you all think about getting a 2017 pro with less than 9,000 miles for $38,000? it would be from a private seller, not a dealership

I'd consider it, that's practicality new, but isn't.

It gets expensive real quick. I have a 2019 that now has over 30K in parts in it and I still need to re-gear. I saved all original parts to be able to revert back to stock if I needed. I love modding my truck but don’t expect to ever recoup your investment.

I’d check the what did you pay for your taco thread, or just post about it in a new thread. It’s nit a bad price IMO, but... you’re paying for the suspension on a Pro. If you plan to lift it, then get an Off Road. Or lift it and sell the fox setup on here. They go quickly and will net you a pretty penny.

Looking back, we all got excited and started responding without even bothering to ask what the OP expects to do with his truck.
I mean, what mods does he need? He might just need rubber floor mats and a ramp for his moto.

I ended up getting the used 2017 TRD pro on Tuesday. Just hit 9000 miles on it last night! now I just gotta prioritize the things I want to do to it!

I want it to be an awesome looking/sounding/performing truck that turns heads and makes the minivan dads jealous  I live in utah and hit trails around the area, with my step dad and bro in law in their f150 and xterra but we dont do anything too crazy. I plan to use it for camping and it will be my winter vehicle when I cant ride the motorcycle.
