Looks like a 14” rack? Nicely set up.

Since we bought a horse ranch, we pretty much aren't camping anymore, so I'm ditching my RTT and decking the rack out with tons of other accessories.

The 10" rack may not be tall enough for some accessories. I mounted a Waterport between my bike mounts on a 10" rack. The MaxTrax were a bit too tall and hung over the side of the bed, so I ended up putting them on the roof rack. Not sure about Rotopax.

With a diamondback cover, I can't mount too much on the inside of the rack. I placed a basket net that holds sleeping bags and other soft goods in waterproof covers and I mounted a rack under the tent that can hold a small folding 4' camp table. MaxTrax won't fit underneath unless mounted horizontally/flat.

I really like my Voodoo rack but the 10" has some limitations in the amount of stuff that can be added to the sides.

Does anyone know if the mounting brackets that come with the yakima Skyrise rtt will attach to the top bars or are the top bars too big?

I had a Yakima Skyrise M and the claws are not great for larger square load bars as they are designed for oval load bars. So on my @KB Voodoo 18” AluMax rack I added two 1” square tubes that I bolted together in pairs to the underneath side of the load bars. They were small enough for the claws to hold tightly. Worked great till I bought my iKamper.
Here’s a couple photos showing how I chose to solve the issue, and clearances.

I have the Medium HD and had to use some 80/20 rails to mount. I discarded the Yakima mounts.

Any feedback regarding their outboard bike mounts? Been looking for a bike mount solution for a while. Also, any chance someone can tell me the angle at which the rack comes off the bed rail? I have a different rack, so I'm not sure these mounts would sit right.

Thanks! That looks pretty darn close to the same angle as mine. Just don't want bikes leaning away from the truck. How do you like the mount on the side? Plenty stable? It sure looks cool and has got to be easier than lifting to cab height.

They are stable, looks killer, and easy. The one big con is if you are off-roading then the bikes are exposed to tree branches if you are on a tight trail

Thank you so much for those pics! That's an awesome solution but a hassle, nonetheless.

Thanks for your reply. So you used the 80/20 and then did you just bolt directly into the threads for the original mounts?

I put an 80/20 frame on my Voodoo rack so I can mount a Skycamp Mini RTT, table storage underneath and some basket nets to hold other stuff. Voodoo rack + 80/20 combo is versatile and easy to design and modify along the way.
