Oh shit. Things are going to take a turn here. Or most definitely at least a lane change...

4.88’s. I have an autobox slushmission that puts me in the “louder” gear ratios.

I finally got around to ordering my rear shocks a few days ago. I’ve had a BAMF rear shock relocate kit sitting on a shelf in the garage for over a year. It will be nice to get some real dampening on the back end. Those factory TRD Pro Bilsteins have put up an admirable fight. But as I keep packing on the weight, they get less and less effective at performing their job.

hopefully next weekend the DMZ frame plate kit gets burned on. But, my welding skills aren’t up to the task for this job. As well as the fact that my garage is mid project for the new sub panel that will finally give me 220V juice for the mig/tig/plasma machines waiting in the wings.

Another thing I’m curious about is that new front LCA subframe bracing available from @81Trekker. I need to do some more reading about that. It’s interesting that someone is offering a DIY solution to what Desert Rats have been doing for years. Again, gotta read that monstrous thread before I make my mind up.

Another piece of this mosaic mess is little electrical bits and bobs. About 3 years ago I bought a rock light kit. Guess what’s still sitting in its box, on a shelf in the garage? You guessed it! I don’t do any night wheeling(if it can be avoided I will, bad eyes), so I realize these will most likely be “scene” lighting. I started to design little brackets for mounting these things. It’s difficult to get this done when my truck isn’t even in my own driveway at the moment.

And I’ve got a surprise for tomorrow...

Crossed the 100k mile marker somewhere in the middle of the Mojave National Preserve. It’s been a work truck a play truck and an R&D mule.

I played a little hookie today and completely rescheduled the rest of this week.

Worth the extra pain I inflicted upon myself in the extra long days ahead...

I’m curious if anyone here has any experience with the BlackView 900s dual channel dashcam. I had an older model Garmin and found it to be lacking in the department of nightvision/glare and Apple OS compatibility.

Do any of yous lot have one? And if so, what are your pros and cons?

    So. Am. I.

The design should be finalized by this weekend. The struggle is real my friend. Between juggling two households errands(Thanks COVID-19), running two small businesses and trying to wrench, I’m going gray faster than I want to. Plus, my daughter has decided she wants to be my shadow now(she’s 2.5 years old).
