Nothing. Pretended I left Whateverland to see who bit. Went back to work. Just finished up, having a smoke, and calling it. Got some field work for my side gig tomorrow.

Can anyone tell me what is going on with my front differential. I have a 03 tacoma v6 4x4.
I have replaced the wheel bearing, inner axle bearing on the passenger side, both CV axles, and replaced the needle bearing for the "Ecgs bushing".
I am still chasing a pulsating grinding noise. And starting to believe I need a new differential.. my 4×4 still seems to work fine. And still makes noise 4x4 or 2x4. Whata your ideas. Cuz I'm running out

If it makes the noise in 2wd, than it is not your front diff.

So it's in the front though right? Does it make the noise at low speeds?

It sounds like front left. But. I put the truck on Jack's. And put it in 4wd got under it with a stethoscope it was coming from the front right.. happens at speeds 20+

 

On Jack's, at 20mph, does it make the noise in 2wd?

Stethoscope heard it to the right, but where exactly?

 

You hear it in 2wd too though right? So stethoscope only hears it in the front diff?

 

Yes.. When the front wheels are rotating. Could it possibly be a bearing deeper in the diff?
