    i definitely felt like that for quite a while. I've driven MT off and on since i was 14 and i struggled with this truck for a long time. I wasn't sure if i had a stroke and forgot how to drive or wth was going on. Between the tune and ADM, it seems ive remembered how to drive again lol

    Every tune flash was like that until we got that single torque test file. Just amazing.

    I used to get some side eye in the early days. Now, I often surprise myself that I am in 6th already. Smooth as silk and just damn normal.

    Just download the latest version:

    You'll see the Stock MT ECUs in the file system: C:\vftune . . .

    You can unlock if you want at that point. Given the TSB situation on the 2016s and 2017s, I would probably delay as long as possible just incase Toyota drops a bomb.

    Mine revs really weird too, nothing like anything I've driven. I can be in neutral, idling and quickly floor it and release the pedal and the rpms jump maybe a few hundred. I'm not expecting to blip the throttle and get revs, but it revs slower than my 258 CI 1976 CJ7. What's also weird is how slow my 2020 Taco revs but how FAST the revs drop when you are changing gears. I'll double check at lunch. It's just different for me because it's my first vehicle without an actual cable on the throttle. So I understand it's how it's supposed to be, but that delay and the clutch accumulator thing sure are strange when you have other manuals to drive.

    If you're vF is updated, just open and navigate to c:/vftune . . . You'll see Tacoma files in there.

    i just flashed superfob 2.0 for regular octane. about to head out on a trip and will let it settle in. Maybe on the way home monday i'll put tank of prem in and flash it! downloaded it for the road :)
