Just looked it up, VA only requires mud flaps on commercial vehicles 40,000lbs GVWR and higher.

Reminder for any REI members. Their annual 20% off any item for members expires on Monday. I just used it and my dividend from last year to get a new camp chair.

Samesies. Got one of those Helikon chairs so it can fit behind the seat. Had a lot of impromptu post-MTB beers sitting on the asphalt cuz I didnt have a chair to hang with my buds.

Got the Apache 4800 from harbor freight to hold my most used recovery gear. It’s a great size. Seems way more rugged than anything plano I’ve owned.

    Nice case. Is it waterproof?
How do you like your Dynapro tires? Soon I'll be needing new tires and would like to try MT's for some of the places and trails I go. I had been eyeing the KM3's, but it's really only out of habit from having KO's in the past.

It is! Seems to have a nice seal. The case won’t live back there but it’s nice that if it gets rained on, no big deal.

I love the tires. For me, price plays a huge role in what tire I run. I would shop around and find some in your price range, and then from there figure out if it’s a good tire. That’s what I did and it worked out great.

I never understood why they made dsylexic such a hard word to spell. Seems cruel to me.

Yea, I was basing it off the fact that I have a HAM license and that precludes one from needing a GMRS license. $10 seemed low but besides not reading, I'm also lazy. $7 bucks a year for an entire family seems like a pretty good deal to me. Considering you can pick up a sweet kit like this

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SCSQFBK/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_V6-XEbPE3F8YP

which is a much better choice for long range comms on trails.

I fixed this for you Greg.

So @Rome604 and @RobP62 the GMRS license vs. amateur ham license in a simplified summary is:

My view was, I just need to talk over radios for trail heads up and spotting purposes...for the most part I saw the GMRS as a no-test/no-study option to run the 462/467 allowable
